Hey! So here is a lyric video for Hero of War by Rise Against. This song comes from their Appeal to Reason album which was released in 2008. The whole album is amazing and definitely worth listening to.
I've not uploaded a video for a while due to computer problems and Sony Vegas lagging constantly making it impossible to get the videos right. Damn this one hurt. It's a beautifully tragic song and I think it could have some examples as to why a veteran doesn't like being called a hero. Some of the things that you have to do or willingly do for one reason or another are things that can break a man. I don't envy our troops, but I have a lot of respect for anyone who's seen combat. I'd say war is hell, but war doesn't spare the innocent. It's indescrimimate and uncaring of who it claims.
