I met your sweet Mama today at Wal-Mart. She and your brother Paul. I just fell so in love with your Mother. My grandson, Michael said that she was the sweetest lady he had ever met. Michael is 15 years old. Paul actually remembered us from the first of Summer. I get so excited when I get to see one of your family members. I just love you all to pieces ❤❤❤

I used to live in Vermont and I remember every fall how big a chore it was sourcing and stacking firewood was in preparation for winter. I had propane gas for heat so the wood burning stoves were essential to keep heating costs down. I had two cats and when it got really cold after the fire burned down late at night both cats would come snuggle under the covers for warmth. I called those nights my "two cat nights" and I loved them. Similar to the Australian aboriginal "three dog night". You may remember that band Three Dog Night from the seventies. That's where their name came from. Loved those two cat nights and the firewood chores. Bless you all.

I have lived in the country all my life - I have many fond memories of looking for crawdads, frogs and lizards - I can remember walking down dirt roads while Mama helped Daddy change fields - Mama helped drive the Bob trucks while Daddy drove the combine from field to field - He always had a field hand to work also - My sisters and I played in the cotton trailers filled with picked cotton - we jumped into the Bob trucks filled with wheat and soy beans - that’s all changed now - the million dollar cotton pickers make bails then the gins come and pick them up - the grain crops, including peanuts are emptied into 18 wheeler trucks right in the field - many many changed in farming - some I think are good, some not so good - it takes a lot of money these days to farm - my Daddy will be 86 December 31 - he rents all his land now - he has dementia and Parkinson’s disease - we talk about the crops and take him in his truck to look at the fields - he really enjoys that - time flies so fast - it seems like not long ago I was walking down a dirt road with a big stick drawing things as I went to climb on the truck with Mama 🌷

Hi Tipper and Matt, I never knew you used to work at McDonald's in the drive thru. I also worked at the drive thru at McDonald's for many years and I absolutely loved it and I miss those days.
I also love the smell of fresh cut wood and the saw dust.
Matt cooking on the Coleman stove reminds me of my Dad cooking us breakfast at the campsite and eating by the fire to keep warm in the late fall early winter when we were camping as a family.
Thanks for all the wonderful memories of my youth. I miss my Parents so much.

Mr. Matt, we have that same tractor and chop and split firewood, too but one thing that has helped us as we age and still do what needs to be done is the grappler attachment. It's just a big hand that does 100% of the lift for you. At first, I was very reluctant for my husband to buy it but on day 1, we lost a tree across our road. The chainsaw and the tractor did all the heavy work. That 112' pine was cleared from the road and moved with barely any manpower in less than 1 hour. I didn't have to situate logs or roll logs so my husband could move them with the bucket. He did it all with the grappler. Pretty nice. I just stand there now on safety watch. 😅 Get yourself the top for that tractor, too. It will save you from those widow makers. Saved my sweet husband and myself a many a time. Anyways, great video as usual. Many blessings and we're praying for all those who have felt the massive impact of that nasty hurricane and praying for the nations. ❤

    Tipper,
My memory that you brought back is about our coal/wood shed we had. One side had coal for our Warm Morning stove that heated the whole house (shot gun cotton mill house) and the other for split wood, like you are planning. I was about 10 years old when Superman came on the TV. I got the bright idea that if I made a cape out of a beach towel I could fly off the roof of that building. I survived with nothing broken but it was a once in a lifetime memory!

👋🧡🙏🦃🍁🥧🍂🦃🥧🧡👋Miss Tipper and Matt, Can hardly wait to see y’all interact with those beautiful precious grandsons. I have 1 grandson and a granddaughter in law. They have my three precious great grandsons. This is my son’s grand babies. They are 3 years, almost two and the last and final angel is 8 months. I barely have any interaction except by phone video chats. We’re around 700 miles south of them. We love them so much and you know how our love is for our children, grands and great grands, I’m sure. Our only daughter is the one who suffered a massive stroke in August so we are sure she’s not able to bear children. God saw a different path for her. Well anyway I wanted to say have a beautiful blessed Thanksgiving this year. And to tell you how much I truly appreciate and love y’all. May God bless both of you and your growing family. I just feel next year you will be seeing more growth. Won’t that be a wonderful thing? Take care now and have a wonderful week. Jennifer, South Mississippi. Please keep my family in prayer. Each day is such a challenge and at our ages it is not an easy task. My thanks and appreciation to you all. J

I miss that on weekends in the fall during football season my two brothers and all their friends would meet up in our den to watch the games all day with my dad. Jinx Matt. lol I said “double yolk” out loud the same time as you when you cracked that 🍳 egg. 😂 Man the tractor and bucket sure does make the work lighter. There’s just a rightness in being together like this. My daddy used to say if mama ever ran him off he’d just have to live at the other end of the house so he wouldn’t have to away from all of us. 😊 He was a carpenter so sawdust smell reminds me of him also. 😮 God bless you both.

Another good one Tipper and Matt. This brings back alot of memories of helping haul wood. I always kind of enjoyed splitting it as long as you didnt have to get in any hurry about it. Just work a while and then take a little break and then go back and work a little bit more. Its hard work, but it's kind of enjoyable. But i will tell you that swinging an 8 pound maul will wear you out quickly. Especially if you arent used to it.

What a wonderful sandwich that Matt made for you it's so nice to see the two of you enjoying each other's company actually getting out side. The two of you are such a good example of what everyone should be doing thing's like tjis is what helps keep a loving relatinship throughout the years. Sometime msybe you all can do another one of these hiking to the creek and having lunch and sitting and telling us a bunch of childhood stories of things you did i could easily sit and listen to you all for a hour show more pictures i love things like that you all keep me company it's like I'm sitting there in the conversation.
I hope Corie and Austin get to make memories like this that they take a little time at least to get out just the two of them and enjoy just talking and catching up.
Sending Prayers and Peace to all of you 🙏🕊️🙏
Tell Granny we are sending her love and prayers and how much we all enjoy her videos talking 💛

I miss my daddy too especially when I make a fire. My actual daddy didn't raise me, but my grandfather was my daddy. I didn't go without for sure. He loved to tell a good story. He'd talk 15 yr old me to death and send me for coffee. I bet you're daddy would be so proud what you've done with your gardening and how far you've come.

I loved the crochet baskets your mom has. My mamaw had one on pillowcases with the holes. She and her sisters ran ribbon through the ones with holes. Thank you

The Maple wood is really pretty. It would make a great cutting board. Does Matt know how to make woodwork like that? Great Christmas ideas.

Heck Matt, you could toat the splitter right down there to the tree. When was a little fellow, my dad added on to the house, a big family room, and a garage. I still love the smell of freshly cut lumber. Love your videos

    Matt
You need to build a very large shed to fit your stuff, then you can build off the shed and large over hang with sides for your wood 👍🏻
Oh and put a chair in front with a mailbox….📫 lol
    God bless you both🙏🙏

Nice day there! My HS boyfriend was in the Voc Tech section of the school in carpentry. He always smelled of wood. For years every time I drove by a lumberyard I thought of him. Love that smell. Hello from a very wet Oregon.
