    I used one of those extra long pillows, for your bed, and tied it together with string. Then, I wrapped the poly fill around that, and added abit on top. It worked out well. Very firm.

    I've made this floor pouf twice now and after the initial stuffing, row 40 instructions indicate 44 sc after completing the 1 sc, 1 scdec all the way around. This results in 2 left over stitches. Your video should be updated to note that the last 2 stitches should be sc in order to result in 44 stitches for that round. I did not get the correct number of stitches and thereafter all my row counts were off.

    I tried to start with 10 stitches several times but it kept acting like I was doing too much, so I started with 8 in the magic circle. And started syncing up with the patter when the stitch count around was supposed to be in the 50s

      Thank you for commenting, I was struggling with the same thing. Changing to 8 stitches made it work!

    Thank you for this pattern. I am new to crochet but I was wondering if the slip stitch counts as part of the stitch count for each round?

    Sounds like fun. A pattern would tell how much yarn and how much stuffing needed. Theses I have thought of making before. They would be neat and easy

    • @DIYFromHomeCrochet
      @DIYFromHomeCrochet  2 роки тому

      So for the stuffing, you'll see in the video that I actually used a couple of pillows and stuffed around it to save some money as you would need a TON of stuffing to get a good firm ottoman

    Is there an alternative to yarn? Yarn is so expensive in my country that you can buy this pouf at a price lower than the materials

    What size hook did you use? I have been wanting to make one of these.

  • @charlenewilliams4066
    @charlenewilliams4066 2 роки тому

    How many skeins does the pattern take? Also, I would suggest including a pattern and the US letter of the hook, if these are available. I started crocheting using a pattern and I feel more confident having it on paper. Thanks for getting this info to me.

    Is there any suggestions for making the pouf larger. This is beautiful, and I would love to make a small one and an extra large one :) any help would be appreciated!

  • @abigailashlock215

    What do you think the effect would be if I used an 8 mm hook instead of a 9?

    • @janinealcon
      @janinealcon Рік тому

      I’m guessing 8 mm hook is a little bit tight instead of a 9. When I’m using 10 mm you can see the hole while you crocheting the floor pouf. I prefer 8 mm 😊

    • @maryjanepartlow7267
      @maryjanepartlow7267 Рік тому

      Makes your stitches tighter so it would be a tad smaller as your stitches are tighter. Still have a poof though.
