- President Museveni is once again advising the public to revert to electric vehicles to survive the pain of the high cost of fuel. Although there are a few of these motorcycles on the market and charging points. There are some Ugandans who foresaw this problem and started converting ordinary fuel-run motorcycles into electric-run ones. Bodawerk is a workshop in Ntinda that converts ordinary fuel motorcycles to electric at the cost of 8 million shillings. But how effective is the motorcycle?

@@joshuakamuli5496 coz I watched it today
Lie low like an envelope.....

Go to chaina, so you dont consider the input and time
We are happy to see this in our country.....we hope selfish political interests don't strungle these great minds and initiatives
The are the type of people uganda need now urgently to fix the condition of our beloved uganda. Good job done.
Great work brother thank you for explaining us 💪
This is fantastic innovations in our country we want to be self sustainable no more importation of vehicles let's together support this
These guys are the real deal.
Converting cars into electric, wuld lead to some competition with kiira motors. But since kiira motors is taking long, we will go with these guys. I want my first car to be electric.
This is great.
Great move, God bless you people
I have been planning to do the same after living in Asia for 8 years. Now I will plan something else. Please keep the spirit.
Competition is always good n health for the economy. Don't give up

Proudly Ugandan Engineered 👌
Good but too expensive compared to the other e bike partners
Will they not affect UNOC ?
How much can it cost me to change my engine into electric components and where here in Kenya
Good innovation but the costs involved are still high in relation to an indigenous Ugandan
It's a good starting point
Government should come out and help this man
So wonderful
Do we have a government!!?
Seriously is uganda even a country ?
Or a family business for brutal african dictators and indian investors while the stupid ugandan civilians are not interested in any science or economics but only religion 24/7
Anybody with the tel contact of these guys or the physical address?
Government should quickly move and subsidize these people so the cost can come down and be affordable to ordinary Ugandans . It’s time to put government rhetoric to practice.
Our government cannot to that
I need the telephone contact of these guys as I have been doing research on same thing ,I need to talk more and give you details of how best we can work together
More on tukutuku tri cycle 3 where how much is the price
this is what africa need
Now someone owning fuel stations will go against this innovation.
It's good Idear but u just need to improve in those battery capacitive at least to 300 km after full charging because it takes a lot of time on charging so what time is that business boada boada man
Bruh the bike which called bajaj boxer in india(boda boda in africa) are disscontinued from 20 years and we indians are not suppose to ride these low class bikes
3-4 HOURS CHARGING! LONG WAY
Can he convert my bike to electric?
the technology is good, the price at which they are doing the conversions is rubbish.. 8m for just a conversion is not worth it, when an electric motor bike is just 3.5m
But theirs lasts longer and they offer repair services.
Wulira kasasiro.
Obwongo bwo bwetaga booster buzukuke bwebase
@@ronaldeastgate8988 he is so foolish and idiotic
Can you explain why you think that's nonsense?
120km is more than what an average Bodaboda rides per day, this way affect the uptake of the technology.
And the 4 hours needed for charging is alot, there's need to develop a quick charging technology
JUST IMAGINE 3-4 HOURS OF CHARGE. TIME IS MONEY
@@senkubugealexpeters1246 Basically, you have to charge for 4 hours for a journey of one to one and a half hours which can comparatively be taken using 3litre of petrol.
The biggest motorcycle users are business men so the idea needs to surely incorporate the time factor
