Agreed I've lost games badly to Articuno decks due to Misty's ability to setup quickly and good overall cards from water types. Should also talk about Frostmoth and Vaporeon as those 2 cards are slept on.
@@ilikwaffles-spidermute I agree but that's if you can get em evolved; The problem is omastar is a 3 stage evolution meaning that it will take a few extra turns to set it up if you even have that. Frostmoth is a better option to me as you can get em setup easily but for a less effective ability than omastar but the two of them put together in a deck could be very good.
I protected misty when this game first came out but then I used it and quickly realized it’s a freaking cheat code. The amount of times you just insta win is insane.
@felipefreire4593 the problem with this is that there's almost no opportunity cost for failing. It's not like it cost you mana or tempo to play the card. You fail, you just pretend it didn't happen and continue with your turn as normal.
Mewtwo is deffo s teir. Once setup it hits hard and easy to pilot. Pairing with meowth to draw an extra card is vital to get gardivor stage 2 out. Probably easily at 90% win rate with it. I think the problem I have with the game is that getting the cards you need for the deck is too hard unless I am missing something. So I was lucky to pull pikachu ex and mewtwo ex and build the deck. I have none of the other ex's or basic/stage 1 to make it viable and so limited and stuck on just using the mewtwo deck i have.
Technically, but it is slightly harder to set up. If you have gardevoir it becomes easier bytut gardevoir is a stage 2. It's still q very very good deck, probably the third best in the meta. But top of A tier looks fair to me.

Just be good at flipping coins and you will be top tier with Charizard. But indeed he’s not as strong, I started playing him yesterday and he wasn’t as weak as I thought tho. If your opponent is playing a deck with EX, you just need to beat 1 pokemon and you are sure you will kill anything they throw at you and be sure you won’t be One hit KOed, which may grant you another prize point.
Finally, a Monday tierlist for pocket! Would love it if you keep these up and do maybe one for non ex, and one for decks? Yeehaw love to watch you as always! Thanks for the content, cowboy! 🤠
I used to be a unite fiend and loved all your content. I stopped playing unite about two years ago but would still stop by for a video here and there. But now my spragles love is back in full force with tcg pocket!!! So excited to be able to watch you again :) much love
Started playing yesterday and got: Venusaur EX, Exeggutor EX, Articuno EX, Gengar EX, Mewtwo EX and Marowak EX. It's nice to know they will come in handy for future deckbuiding.
A friend of mine showed me the app, and it seemed like it was really cool (I've never played pokemon before this point) so he got his irl cards and we played a match. After seeing that fact that you actually open up booster packs I was sold. I used to play yugioh when I was younger and its very reminiscent of the feeling I had with yugioh booster packs. So here I am watching pokemon videos, trying to learn the strategies and what to do/what not to do
@@COA5T It is actually gaming an uneven flip system. Which is incredible, to be honest. Because you are so much more likely to get tails than heads, like 2 tails for every 1 heads I think it is right now Sleep is such a good status effect.
Depends. I have a deck that uses Pidgeot's ability pretty well and has 2 Pidgeot lines in it. Going first can be beneficial since I get to evolve Pidgeotto before they get a chance to evolve and still be able to attack since it takes 1 energy while getting me closer to my stage 2 evolution quicker than the opponent. Also, Mankey benefits too since it can get damaged and evolve right away. I understand these are edge cases, but it works for them.
Misty is strong, but I think it speaks volumes about the OTHER gym leader cards. Blaine? Brock? Surge? WTF are these used for - fringe, B-tier decks? Screw that. We should see them brought to parity: Blaine should boost fire-type damage for a turn, Surge should pull energy from the bench to an active electric-type, and Brock should give energy AND allow damage mitigation for a turn (in-theme with rock/ground-types, a la Harden/Dig/Ancient Power/Wide Guard).
brock would be better if he could give 1 energy to all "fighting" types or at least had a larger pool he could give energy to. marowak would definitely benefit. i like how hes much more consistent then misty but he doesnt have much to use that consistency for.
@@D33STRUCTIV3 this is a gacha card game bro, powercreep is on the way. Wait a bit and you will definitely see trainer cards with these type of effects
Charizard is a slower playing deck, but it has solid bulk with 2 moltres to get through, that gives you time to get zard out and 6 energy on. The only things that really get through moltres consistently and fast is mewtwo or pika decks.
I would also add a side note for Machamp is that if you're getting all the stages in the first hand to do that early damage chain, Red card will 100% ruin that
Interesting breakdown. I agree Misty is broken asf lol. I feel it should have been made like flip 3 coins and attach a water energy for each heads to your Starmie since thats her base game main pokemon. maybe even a lapras since she has one in later games.
I really like my marowak deck... would love it if I wasnt getting 2 tails every single damn turn, meanwhile my opponent is getting 3 heads in a row, idk why in the world they made this card like this instead of just saying u do 80 dmg and if u get 2 heads u do an additional 80, I swear the amount of cards that rely on coin flips make this game more rng based then card based
I'm a venusar ex/exegcute ex main. 95% win rate. biggest issue is starting with bulbasaur and going first- if I'm up against starting under these conditions it is an auto loss.
I think machamp is pretty alright because it could oneshot Starmy with a Giovanie and pikachu without and is only a turn slower than them> To bad it is also in one shot range of Mewtwo + Giovanie
If it just had 10 more attack it would be a lot more threatening with giovanni (ohko birds ect), so for the sake of 10 atk it is still a decent card. I have a machamp and marowak Ex deck and it does the job.
Question: I have always looked at the "Stage 1" on the card as referring to the first stage pokemon in the picture directly below the words. Example: on Starmie it shows Staru with the words "Stage 1" above Staru. Does it not make more sense to say that Staru is the stage 1 in the evolution, and Starmie is actually Stage 2?
I think Char is being massively underrated, Moltres can fill this guy up with energy so it can easily Crimson storm 3 times, as long as you get to that point (which is honestly not that hard unless your hand bricks hard), you can bring Char in, take a kill and then guarantee that you win the 1v1 no matter what comes in. This basically guarantees that Charizard will always take 2 KO's if he's properly set up, agaisn't most decks, there is just genuenly nothing the oponent can do as long as you properly play around Sabrina
I watched this video last night and excitedly went and crafted two Misty cards. Put them in a powerful water deck. Since then, I have used the Misty card a total of 42 times in battle. I kept up with the data. 38 of them were tails on the first coin flip. 2 of them got heads, and then tails. Only 2 got more than one heads. Therefore: 38/42 times (Tails immediately): ~90.48% 2/42 times (1 head, then tails): ~4.76% 2/42 times (2 or more heads, then tails): ~4.76% And even if we just counted the number of times it was either heads or tails: Tails: ~90.48% Heads: ~9.52% The card sucks.
I have tried probably 25 times and still can’t beat the “Expert Starmie EX and Greninja deck” that has SEVERAL articuno, misty, starmie, and greninja that have an amazing ability. It’s actually absurd how OP that combo is.
@@d2dwizard198 it is annoying especially with how the rng always seems to be in favor of the bot. But yeah, we'll have to zap them with their weakness and quick charged mons for more sure win.
@@jeysats7196 not really tho sometimes the rng does pretty much random moves that when I'm already at 2 points, the opponent swaps out from his almost full health starmie to another low health pokemon which I could one hit KO so that I won eventually
Moltres realy deserve a S tier for me, he realy realy strong, no evolution need, and work soo well with all the other fire type. Even if hes attack have some lucky base, you often get at least 1 or 2 energie and that all u need for working well. the fact that he have eletricity weakness is fine because he can still survive a pikachu EX attack and still die to raichu even without weakness And for me, i would say that charizard deserve a place on A tier because of Moltres that push him realy well. Charizar right now is the only one that can take every single other attack for the game and 1 shot enemis back, and for that i think he deserve more even if the lvl 1 and 2 pokemon suck pretty hard, a mean the pokemon would be overpower if the other lvl was at the same lvl of him I think u realy underestimate fire deck over all, that the first deck a make and i win soo many match even against bad match up like water. Fire deck set up better than psy deck and the luck base with Moltres will be more often in ur side that against u (It's not like it's a 50%/50% just hiting 1 or 2 time can make u win the game) ps : sorry if my english is bad, i'm not english ^^
I had people quitting, when their misty failed on articuno and its crazy how many times it happens hahaha. But i feel that. I run a pickachu-zapdos deck with jolteon and electrode support. If pikachu fails, i got zapdos mainly as a bench-bro or fighting type coverage and electrodes as emergency damage dealer and meat shields and jolteon for a late game sweep. Its not always easy to get the jolt out, but i rarely lost when i managed to pull it off. Also it saved my bacon in several matchs where i was unlucky and didnt draw a single ex The deck that makes ME shit my pants is the mewtwo-gardevoir-hypno combo. Never won against that, when they got these 3 out together
idk if its the same for the TGC, but I really wish they rework the turn to first turn u can place energy but cant attack, and maybe cant use trainer cards too, idk if that would be balanced
Very good tierlist, I think it is the best one I have seen so far. My only nitpick is that Mewtwo should be S tier, but you did address it. Also props to not underselling Exeggutor EX unlike some other tierlists. To me it is the lowest A tier EX or high B tier. It is for sure a flawed EX, but with a bunch of upsides as well.
Going against a Machamp that gets upgraded each turn is pretty demoralizing (especially when it's in the final tier of solo challenges haha). I'm curious if it will get more play with the new mankey promo card.
I don't get why put a really RNG dependant card on God tier, like it's good when it works but it's still just luck and you have to use water Pokemon, unlike Sabrina who works everytime and can be used on any kind of deck.
Misty is F tier for me. My friend said (and I agree) that I spent all my luck on pokemon for card packs. Because I got almost 2 binders of immersives and ex cards, but for two weeks, I got 0 energy from misty
Zard is very rough, I agree. The four big matchups every deck has to care about are Pika Staryu/Water Mewtwo Marowak All of these deck do good damage fast and will therefore kill the moltres quickly, and then even if you have a zard in play, you hit them once and then they Sabrina you and kill a benched mon for the game. Because it has to give up a 2 prizer early into all the really important matchups, it cant make use of that massive 180HP
@Siennarchist the advantages of charizard EX deck over mewtwo EX deck are its higher bulk (survives mewtwo EX's 150 hp attack) and higher damage (can ohko stage 2 EX). In a faceoff between the two, charizard EX deck should be slightly favoured but it depends who draws their engine better. If the guy doesn't draw both mewtwo EX, he will lose if the charizard EX ko the 1st mewtwo EX.
I stopped stacking my bench. 2 pokemon go on my bench MAX and once 2 are knocked charizard goes last so you can't sabrina it and cheese the win over my stacked charizard. The only issue i have is NOT having moltres EX
I think you might be sleeping on Arcanine a little bit. The one energy lower requirement than Char means you can ramp into 120 damage really quickly, and I think once the meta stops being dominated by big blasters, he’ll really shine
Why would it stop being big blasters? Mewtwo/gard is very tough to stop if they can stall you, pika is insane damage at just 2 energy, and ofc water decks can just pop off at a moments notice. I don't see these big 3 going anywhere.
Gengar's ability is great but not for a Pokémon that takes so long to set up, by the time you use it the opponent may have already used most of their supports 16:05
I've played 18 trainer Articuno games where my opponent will concede immediately if they don't stack 3 energy on their Articuno. I don't understand why they are even playing the game.
There should be some downside to losing, or at least for conceding early. Like if you concede 3 games before turn 3 you should have to have a cool down or something.
Tbh 1 month later your tiers list was pretty accurate, you were a little bit overhype by venusaur and charizard should be in A tiers but it’s a good tiers list. Except for arcanine he is somewhere between A tiers and B tiers, C tiers is wild ( i'll say A tiers but that’s just me)
The marowak one was true because I had one of the most craziest matches with it. Like I was fighting against a Mewtwo and I got 8 tails in a row, so the opponent had a lot of time to setup their Mewtwo, but the moment that Mewtwo became active, my Marowak rolled two heads and it one shot that Mewtwo. Like I got 4 heads continuously, first it eliminated Kangaskhan, then took down mewtwo
nearly smashed my phone a few times thanks to double tails but when it hits (even once), it's great. I have Sandslash as a backup for quick 2 energy 70 damage and there have been games that I intentionally retreated marowak ex to get guaranteed fixed damage lol
I have a deck with two wigglytuff, a Kangaskhan (for potential round 1 KOs and as a transition for my Wigglytuff) and a Fearow. Certainly is no where close to being a strong deck, but it is sooo fun to play. When played well every game becomes close.
Considering the success chance for Misty to actually work, I really don't agree with Misty being god tier. Pikachu can do the same thing, but with arguably far more consistent set up in 2 turns (similar to Articuno). To put it this way, in order for Articuno to get all three energy it needs turn one, you'd multiply out the probabilities of success (landing on a heads to keep the streak going). This would mean we are doing 0.5 x 0.5 x0.5, which equals .125, or a 12.5% chance of that happening. Contrast this to Pikachu, that not only does more damage with TWO energy (90 vs 80), Fighting Type (as you mention) is virtually non-existent because of Mewtwo. Further, it's incredibly easy to stack your deck with easy to pull basic stage Electric mons that you can throw out on the bench as soon as turn 1 or 2, which by that point, you'd have the energy you need start doing a full 90 damage. Even at 60, you're still going to hit MOST of the meta in 2 hits, or prevent their set up. The only notable exception to this is with Mewtwo, where the difference between a full bench or 2 mons in the bench is a 3HKO, or a 2HKO, but this is the same Articuno, and if you fail on energy rolls with Misty, you're in a worse spot compared to Pikachu. The reality is the Mewtwo (in conjunction with Gardevoir) is the real God tier card. That meta is absurdly oppressive and it's what is creating this rapid dash (pun not intended) towards effectively winning the game in 2-3 turns. Arguably, If Mewtwo gets nerfed, the next problem child is, imo, Pikachu. EVEN if Pikachu and Mewtwo sets up BOTH get nerfed, I don't see a world where suddenly Articuno becomes the meta because of Misty's potential high roll. I'd probably argue the best way to fix misty is either one of two things: 1. Attach 1 water energy to mon of your choice, and then flip a coin. If heads, grant 1 additional water energy. 2. Flip 2 coins. You get one water energy per heads that appears. This rewards high risk and high reward, and keeps to the cards playstyle, Further its arguably still strictly better than Brock (as it allows you to choose ANY water mon vs specific Onix/Golem). 3. Combine them and choose (either choose ONE water energy, or flip two coins).
I'm on the part of the globe that gets their tierlists on Tuesdays. And don't get me started on the pink Thursdays. Yep, it's a real madhouse 'round here.. Real madhouse I tell ya..
Blastoise doing 100 for only 3 while not sacrificing an energy makes it A Tier for me personally. Especially with Misty being able to potentially load him up almost instantly.
One thing that I think people should take in to account is solo battles. A card like Ditto is absolutely useless in competetive, but in solo battles, you can in theory use it to counter fast Mons like Starmie for cheap.
No I 100 percent agree with the Misty commentary. The second time I went about against this card in PVP, it gave their Blastoise or Articuno 6 effing energy.
Putting Venusaur in A and Char in B is absolutely wild when Venusaur needs 4 energy to do 100 and Char needs 4 to OHKO anything in the format Plus Char has more consistent ramp with Moltres and bulkier mons to soak damage until it's ready to go. Venusaur is such a casual deck, fun but not a threat
To me it's insane you put misty in god tier, and yet put the repeatable similar effect, with higher success chance, that also tanks two hits into the A tier. Moltress is high S, and recent tournament results further cement how insane the card is
50/50 per coin flip 2 coins 1/4 chance of no damage 3/4 to do 80 damage per turn Yeah I'll take my chances Marrowak deserves at least high-A tier Who else agrees?
New player here. Had Misty used on me twice and was like I need it. Ever since I got it, I've only EVER gotten 1 energy. And that was 33% of the time. Every other time its been tails first. they definitely nerfed the flip rate for the release
I use Arcanine for fast end game.. Rapidash as tank ( cheap cost for attack and retreat ) I'll will use every trick to prevent opponent bringing B+ cards , so far so good... about -20hp after attacking not a big issue.
Actually arcanine ex is the speedy version of the fire deck, coupled with moltres it get set up as fast as the 4th turn. Its almost like pika ex, it has bigger dmg but doesn't last as long.
I think the main problem with Zard is not requiring 4 energies to attack or even that it discards 2. The main problem is that is a stage two and if your Charmeleons or Zard are at the bottom you are simply too slow but that is a problem that affects all Stage 2 mons. I kind of wish they add a great ball to search for stage one and or ultra ball to search for stage 2 something like that. As of now I feel basic mons or some stage 1 will dominate the meta you already see Pika EX and Mewtwo EX winning tournaments.
14:50 I think moltres is the only A bird and even then I’m not a big fan of it. Articuno: only here because of misty. Otherwise it’s a very underwhelming card. Like the other 2 birds, without misty it functions as a wall you keep on the field until you can swap something better in. Does that make it A tier? IMO no Zapdos: I’m more okay with this being A tier, because in theory it’s great, but in play I’ve only seen a zapdos use its 3 energy attack a few times and I was still able to play around it easily. The problem is that pika ex is faster, also a basic, so the first two energy usually go to pika, and lightning doesn’t have any energy generating engine cards like gardevoir or lilligant, making zapdos deceptively a lot slower than you would first assume. Like articuno, its function typically is just being a wall for better cards to get energy first, but with good luck it can be a much better plan B than articuno Moltres: best for last. The other two birds are mostly just used as walls to build up a better card on the bench, right? Well that playstyle best synergizes with moltres. This card is A because it is Fire’s only engine card, so it’s a staple in every Fire deck that isn’t blaine (the best Fire deck). HOWEVER, THIS IS MY LEAST FAVORITE ENGINE CARD IN THE GAME BY FAR. Just in the category of energy generating engines, moltres sucks to play and play against. Borderline misty levels of “do I flip 3 heads and instantly win the game or 3 tails and instantly lose.” You also have to have moltres in the active slot doing 0 damage to generate energy. Boring. You’re not interacting with the opponent’s board at all, that’s half the game. Outside of their sick alt full arts, I think the legendary birds all really suck. Not ex zap and molt are literally unplayable too, but not ex art is somewhat interesting
It is ridiculous how every other trainer card has restrictions except Misty… and Erika. Misty gets a lot of the attention due to the really good water Pokémon and of course, in the history of gaming, people LOVE doing damage fast. There is always an abundance of people who wanna be the damage dealer and not the healer/tank… Enter grass Pokémon with Venusaur, Butterfree, x2 potions, and x2 Erika. It’s not flashy. It’s slow, but man unless you’re dealing high damage consistently, they’re going to outlast you. Ultimately, I think it’s just what is available. Water have high damage units that can get online fast. Ironically though, the best deck is the Pika deck that comes online faster (pending coin flips and draws) and deals bonus damage. I don’t know if the answer is change/nerf or wait and see how the game evolves.
The problem with misty, is how turn 1 works in this game. Normaly the 1st person play, and cannot use support. The 2nd guy can use support and gain energy but cannot attack. Right know except if u have a big support trainer to play, being 1st isn't a good thing
My problem with Misty is that she can make any water mon that needs high energy to perform an instant A/A+ tier. There should be a rule; only one Misty allowed per deck. This way, you at least have to use it strategically.
played against a marowak for the first time, read its attack, thought it was broken, and then he flipped double tails 3 times in a row causing me to win
Its not an EX using deck, but honestly, i love the Koga deck over anything else. I have the most success with it, and, I've gotten people to quit with the Weezing retreat lol
Misty can give you 9 energy, but the probabilities are low. We remember it most when it works, but it is good to average MOST of the time. The probability of giving 1 energy is 50%. 2, is 25%. Higher than that and the chances are less than 15%. 4 energy, which is OP, only happens 6% of the time. It is an awesome card, but I think of it like "the card that gives you 0 to 2 energy"
its so hard to be ftp in pocket… i am rerollin my acc so many times to get at least two exes to build deck… but i need so many cards and cant get it :(
Get just 1 copy. With the amount of free things the game throws at you, you will most likely end up with a full complete Meta deck by the time you finish your missions and newbie rewards (around 50 pulls)
@@Kitsunaiko unfortunately I went through all the initial stages several times for a large number of cards, but I have never had more than 1 rare card and still I do not have enough other cards, let's say I have a mewtwo, but no garde, etc., maybe I just have zero luck
I’d start with a solid EX like Mewtwo, pika, or Starmie and just go from there. You can only get so many cards from a reset. Pick a deck you think looks cool and go for it. 🤠
Not only Brock and Lt Surge, Blaine and Koga are also very specific. However what about if instead of nerfing Misty (which I agree is probably the most broken card in the game) they buff the other trainer so any type has a broken card. At least everyone have fun and not only water 🤣
If Misty was just for Lapras, Golduck, and Starmie, I think it would be ok. Very strong but not broken. Enabling t1 Articuno is not healthy for the game and instant pop offs for stuff like kingler and blastoise is pretty much gg
i think they should very rarely almost never buff or nerf cards, but cards i think are so broken that NEED to be changed or nerfed is starmie ex without a doubt, and i think pikachu ex shouldnt get the hammer since the whole idea is a rush blitz build, so i think a simple -10 hp or makin the retreat from 1 to 2

Started playing yesterday and got: Venusaur EX, Exeggutor EX, Articuno EX, Gengar EX, Mewtwo EX and Marowak EX. It's nice to know they will come in handy for future deckbuiding.
Charizard ex is ment to be used in conjunction with some form of energy acceleration to get the most out of him like moltres ex attack.
Yes correct
A friend of mine showed me the app, and it seemed like it was really cool (I've never played pokemon before this point) so he got his irl cards and we played a match. After seeing that fact that you actually open up booster packs I was sold. I used to play yugioh when I was younger and its very reminiscent of the feeling I had with yugioh booster packs. So here I am watching pokemon videos, trying to learn the strategies and what to do/what not to do
Cool
Wiggly/Weezing is crushing everything above it. Well, maybe not Starmie because it's literally too powerful.
@@COA5T It is actually gaming an uneven flip system. Which is incredible, to be honest. Because you are so much more likely to get tails than heads, like 2 tails for every 1 heads I think it is right now Sleep is such a good status effect.
The game is good but going first is WAY too much of a disadvantage if you’re not playing Misty.

Hell even with one Moltres ex you still pretty good
@TheDragonstorm1993YT typically you can get a Charizard set up with 1, but with bad coin flips and/or an aggro deck you might need 2

I think machamp is pretty alright because it could oneshot Starmy with a Giovanie and pikachu without and is only a turn slower than them>
To bad it is also in one shot range of Mewtwo + Giovanie
Yo
Hè dies anyway because its weak to psichic
(Also nice pfp)
Therefore:
38/42 times (Tails immediately): ~90.48%
2/42 times (1 head, then tails): ~4.76%
2/42 times (2 or more heads, then tails): ~4.76%
And even if we just counted the number of times it was either heads or tails:
Tails: ~90.48%
Heads: ~9.52%
The card sucks.

Moltres realy deserve a S tier for me, he realy realy strong, no evolution need, and work soo well with all the other fire type. Even if hes attack have some lucky base, you often get at least 1 or 2 energie and that all u need for working well. the fact that he have eletricity weakness is fine because he can still survive a pikachu EX attack and still die to raichu even without weakness
And for me, i would say that charizard deserve a place on A tier because of Moltres that push him realy well. Charizar right now is the only one that can take every single other attack for the game and 1 shot enemis back, and for that i think he deserve more even if the lvl 1 and 2 pokemon suck pretty hard, a mean the pokemon would be overpower if the other lvl was at the same lvl of him
I think u realy underestimate fire deck over all, that the first deck a make and i win soo many match even against bad match up like water. Fire deck set up better than psy deck and the luck base with Moltres will be more often in ur side that against u (It's not like it's a 50%/50% just hiting 1 or 2 time can make u win the game)
ps : sorry if my english is bad, i'm not english ^^
Actually, the odds of getting at least 1 heads each toss is 7/8 once per turn, which is extremely broken.
Also it saved my bacon in several matchs where i was unlucky and didnt draw a single ex
The deck that makes ME shit my pants is the mewtwo-gardevoir-hypno combo.
Thanks for taking all our bad rng from us
Zard is very rough, I agree. The four big matchups every deck has to care about are
Pika
Staryu/Water
Mewtwo
Marowak
All of these deck do good damage fast and will therefore kill the moltres quickly, and then even if you have a zard in play, you hit them once and then they Sabrina you and kill a benched mon for the game. Because it has to give up a 2 prizer early into all the really important matchups, it cant make use of that massive 180HP
People need to play around Sabrina more and not just blindly play all their basics onto the bench
@@jordanvespa720If you dont bench anything else you just get sabrinad early by fast decks. So ideally you want 2 moltres and 1 zard in play
I have beat pika decks with arcanine. It can one hit I also like to combo it with Sabrina support.
They're playing to win
Evil haha
There should be some downside to losing, or at least for conceding early. Like if you concede 3 games before turn 3 you should have to have a cool down or something.

My honest take for balancing? Change it so:
Turn 1: 1st draw
Turn 2: 1st energy
Turn 3: first attack
Turn 4: first evolution
Turn 5: onward as normal
I have a deck with two wigglytuff, a Kangaskhan (for potential round 1 KOs and as a transition for my Wigglytuff) and a Fearow.

I'd probably argue the best way to fix misty is either one of two things:
Spot on, nice tier list
No I 100 percent agree with the Misty commentary. The second time I went about against this card in PVP, it gave their Blastoise or Articuno 6 effing energy.
Machamp underrated. Everytime you get it its pretty much game over
Putting Venusaur in A and Char in B is absolutely wild when Venusaur needs 4 energy to do 100 and Char needs 4 to OHKO anything in the format
Plus Char has more consistent ramp with Moltres and bulkier mons to soak damage until it's ready to go. Venusaur is such a casual deck, fun but not a threat
To me it's insane you put misty in god tier, and yet put the repeatable similar effect, with higher success chance, that also tanks two hits into the A tier.
Moltress is high S, and recent tournament results further cement how insane the card is
@@DarkTider moltres is amazing, the only problem is fire cards arent

Misty will be the first ban list card. Totally agree.
Doesn’t do crap for me 😢 I’m not even lying when I tell you that 8 out of 10 times when I play it, it’s first flip tails.
I feel like just making misty give 1 consistent energy instead of randomly giving a bunch or no energy would make it less toxic
New player here. Had Misty used on me twice and was like I need it. Ever since I got it, I've only EVER gotten 1 energy. And that was 33% of the time. Every other time its been tails first. they definitely nerfed the flip rate for the release
Tier List. Tier List. TIER LIST!
Yeehaw
I thought for certain Starmie or Mewtwo were gonna be the god tier, but not putting Mewtwo S tier is wild.
I use Arcanine for fast end game.. Rapidash as tank ( cheap cost for attack and retreat ) I'll will use every trick to prevent opponent bringing B+ cards , so far so good... about -20hp after attacking not a big issue.
Nice Mustache, algorithm brought me bc of TCG Pocket
ALSO i just got Lapris EX today for the event
Blastoise needs 4 energy for 160 damage. At least mine does.
The most Misty heads I've seen somebody get in turn 1 was 13! 😂😂😂
This Man in every card: "this one is a weird one" 😭
Misty is no good for me. The only time I get heads on a coin flip is for who goes first - so the only time I don't want it.
Zapdos is definitely S tier, so many decks run the birds and it’s super effective against all 3. Even itself 😅
Running misty feels like running a sheer cold :,)
14:50
I think moltres is the only A bird and even then I’m not a big fan of it.
Articuno: only here because of misty. Otherwise it’s a very underwhelming card. Like the other 2 birds, without misty it functions as a wall you keep on the field until you can swap something better in. Does that make it A tier? IMO no
Zapdos: I’m more okay with this being A tier, because in theory it’s great, but in play I’ve only seen a zapdos use its 3 energy attack a few times and I was still able to play around it easily. The problem is that pika ex is faster, also a basic, so the first two energy usually go to pika, and lightning doesn’t have any energy generating engine cards like gardevoir or lilligant, making zapdos deceptively a lot slower than you would first assume. Like articuno, its function typically is just being a wall for better cards to get energy first, but with good luck it can be a much better plan B than articuno
Moltres: best for last.
There is always an abundance of people who wanna be the damage dealer and not the healer/tank…
Enter grass Pokémon with Venusaur, Butterfree, x2 potions, and x2 Erika.
The 1st turn ko with articuno has happened to me… multiple times
The problem with misty, is how turn 1 works in this game. Normaly the 1st person play, and cannot use support. The 2nd guy can use support and gain energy but cannot attack. Right know except if u have a big support trainer to play, being 1st isn't a good thing
i’ve gotten 14 heads in a row with misty. it’s actually absurd
My problem with Misty is that she can make any water mon that needs high energy to perform an instant A/A+ tier. There should be a rule; only one Misty allowed per deck. This way, you at least have to use it strategically.
Gengar ex is a s teir ❤ play gangar in a deck he is OP
played against a marowak for the first time, read its attack, thought it was broken, and then he flipped double tails 3 times in a row causing me to win
Its not an EX using deck, but honestly, i love the Koga deck over anything else. I have the most success with it, and, I've gotten people to quit with the Weezing retreat lol
The thing with misty is that it averages out to one energy. Why would you not just make it one energy flat and no coin flip?
Misty can give you 9 energy, but the probabilities are low. We remember it most when it works, but it is good to average MOST of the time. The probability of giving 1 energy is 50%. 2, is 25%. Higher than that and the chances are less than 15%. 4 energy, which is OP, only happens 6% of the time. It is an awesome card, but I think of it like "the card that gives you 0 to 2 energy"
Gengar is a blast, and tends to cause Water decks to concede lol
its so hard to be ftp in pocket… i am rerollin my acc so many times to get at least two exes to build deck… but i need so many cards and cant get it :(
Get just 1 copy. With the amount of free things the game throws at you, you will most likely end up with a full complete Meta deck by the time you finish your missions and newbie rewards (around 50 pulls)
Absolutely, I also can't find any fun with the card. I couldn't even set up a custom deck yet and it has been a week
