      There are legitimately people saying that if we get the choice of getting AT mines or no guarantee of anything at all again, they will deliberately not choose the effort that receives the mines. I just really hope those same people don’t complain about not getting new content when they’re literally dismissing it.

      I’ve been waiting forever for the anti-tanks. Ever since I heard about it and saw the possibility for it in the major order I’ve been hoping to get it unlocked.

      ​@clonesharpshooter101 I mean, in real terms getting AT mines and getting nothing are the same proposition because I will literally never use them. If given the choice between something I will never use that will also probably kill me, or nothing, I'm picking nothing every single time.

      @@InvaderTroy Cool. But maybe someone else might want to use it? Electing not to use something is different than electing for no one to use it while you would still have the former choice.

      i'd use them if we got a test phase with them. after that i'd probably bring them along for level 6 and up difficulty missions.

    Wish they'd reduce the cooldown for all anti personel mines to 120 (future anti tank mines could be 180 due to their damage)

      That, and apparently there's also a bug where your mines will not be visible on other player's screens, no red light or glow or nothing which is crazy

      They were doing well. Glad they brought anti-heavy support weapons while I experimented with double mines. Otherwise those factory striders would’ve steamrolled us to death, haha. Thanks for checking out the video!

    The problem with mines is that the more they hit targets the less effective they become. They would be good for walling off a certain direction ahead of time, but bot drops and bug calls appear randomly. You're better off with an orbital gatling or orbital gas to saturate the area and with a shorter cooldown.

    At 0:53 you can see the factory striders taregetting the mines as they do with sentries. interesting

      Interesting. I know the bugs will (or at least did) target the dispersal mechanism, even after it's empty, luring them into the minefield.

    The incendiary shotgun is surprisingly effective against the bots. Even against the chainsaw bastards. And the incendiary impact grenade is very good

      This is a great idea: it would avoid teamkills and waste from one ragdoll setting off multiple other mines.

    Mines would probably be ok in defense missions or any objective where you need to hold a position. And also because it would minimize the amount of allies waking through them.

    Laying them out on a bot drop seems like the best use of them against bots seeing as you cant really ambush patrols (they just shoot them). But the moment all your other teammates see the drop, they'll be dropping things like eagles and orbitals, which just destroy your mines.

      Yeah, the mines are great but you really only get 1/8th of the mines actually providing value. Dead enemies would trigger mines, teammate stratagems would trigger them too, and wayward bullets would also get them to blow up early. Sometimes, with the way the terrain is, one mine would even trigger multiple surrounding mines. I think if they had a shorter cooldown I wouldn't mind. Thanks for checking out the video!

    Mines are reactive so taking them on a mission where youre attacking positions is always not going to be ideal since they're reactive and work best when you know where the enemy is going to be. Also they dont spread well, often with one enemy setting off a chain of waste leaving you with maybe 5-20 kills from them which can quite easily be achieved with an airstrike which calls in faster and can be used 3 times in the space of one incendiary call in and potentially 6 times per anti personnel call in. They do work much better against bugs but still work better on missions where you'll have to defend an area and in my opinion still arent as good as turrets or eagles. For them to be better they should have the call in reduced and the spread of them increased. It would also be nice if they were marked for team mates since after the lights go off they are hard to see at times

    I don’t know why arrowhead doesn’t give them the mg turret treatment. Turning mines into budget airstrikes that are available more often would give them an actual place in the game. Right now they’re a gimmick.

    One of the main rasons i never play against bots. All this CC and ragdolling around from every shiot. Unfun to play. And i will keep ignoring the automatons till this is a thing. Even if a major order requires to go against them i will just stick to bugs even if they can spawn a bullshit amount of enemies sometimes too.
