Wow thanks for covering this series, it's so exciting! Fantastic analysis as well. Mi Yuting is totally fearless and is playing like a champion in this match!
Few key points for me (2d-3d KGS/OGS) 1:32 Modern joseki 3:37 Postpone an attack if you don't find a profitable way 5:04 Swallowing a stone naturally = Getting the previous exchange for free (At 14:35 I'm very surprised to see the magnitude of the sacrifice. It's hard to see at this point where White's compensation is going to come from. And then sacrifice 3 more stones ???) 15:48 Sometimes you have to sacrifice 3 to gain tempo 21:41 daring White to kill him, because that would make for a profitable exchange if the kill doesn't work. (At 27:16 you say the bottom stones are weak, but they can either capture that lump of stones or connect on the 3rd line, so I don't think that's true, and the only reason why White defends in the center is because he's weak in the center)
Excellent commentary! Just the right amount of explanation, and the choice of what to explain very good as well. I was wondering about W capturing the 7 stones with 162. How would that have been?
It's a fine move, black would have turned to emphasize on attacking the white center and top group. White gets a lot of territory defending like that, but the shape in the center would struggle to counterattack black, so Dang Yifei was trying to play with more energy, I think
Better without music although it wasn't too intrusive in Game 1 Your commentaries are very rich with conceptual thinking. You do an amazing job making these games accessible, at least at my level (2d-3d) and probably to a wide range of amateurs.
black could atari them while connecting, and make the double atari on the outside to then atari the whole white group taking the last inside liberty - in a difficult capture race you usually prefer to force the opponent to play shared inside liberties rather than take them yourself
I have a question! As Black starts to run out his group in the bottom right, instead of playing N8 for move 137 why doesn't he descend at O1? That would capture the white group inside and make his group totally alive. I guess if white played P9 or something for move 138 that would be too good? Maybe?
I like it without music!😀

Thanks for the analysis.
Great game and (as usual) great commentary 🙂
For me, music tends to add to the mental load and reduces the focus. Without music is just fine for me.
Great analysis as always!
Brilliant commentary
This game was a beautiful lesson in shape moves.

Amazing commentary!! At 38:06, why can’t white play L18 in response to the tiger’s mouth?

Descending at O1 would allow white to atari k3 and squeeze to link up, like in the game
Why dont have game 3 :-? As i know game 1 Dang win
this game is so sick, to me so meny moves seem bad. this is because the players are too good for me,
