Here's one for the next Q&A... it looks like the VW Crafter may be getting a facelift soon with 'the internet' saying a new model will be coming out in 2024. Will the Grand California be transitioning to the new Crafter and will this also bring about any other new features/options for the GC?
The short answer is: almost certainly. We already know that the next generation of Californias will have a model in the range based on the "T7 Heavy" (the next generation of Crafter), so it's definitely looking likely. VW announced the "California Universe" which basically said that there would be camping options for all/most VW Commercial vehicles (ID Buzz, Multivan, Transporter, Crafter and Caddy... not sure about the Amarok yet)
I think VW dropped the Ball. If they had left the bed cross ways look how much extra room you would have inside the camper. Could have done separate Shower and Toilet. I don't see any second bed here either. I mean what is the point of a bigger Van if? just for a bigger counter top and some storage?
You’re perhaps forgetting that anyone over 6’3” cannot lie straight crossways in most vans. We have a swift 144 and it’s a real pain (literally) in the neck trying to sleep comfortably in it. Have a longer bed would be a game changer for me and would be cause enough to exchange ours for this van.
Taller customers can sleep more comfortably. Toilet and shower can easily be added and used in a back door Annex. I quite like this one but not sure if it would fit into normal parking places.
It was a great presentation and I don`t even go camping anywhere with the car. All the best, Chris!!!!
Finally a standard diesel heather. Hope also a compressor fridge
Great vid, can I ask how tall are you? Trying to get perspective of how big the bed is. Thanks!
About 6 foot 👍
Non-switching gas bottles / single filter: I think your first guess was right and this is because it has diesel heating.
Our Nov'22 680 is the same.
Good to know!
Been like that for over a year, mines a 2022 model with diesel heating and only came with 1 set of pipes and one connection point, no changeover.
Sehr gut! Vielen Dank!
I enjoyed watching the Video. My favourite Grand California Model 😊
Mine too!
Top video. Steve additional Question: what is the height of the gc680 with air conditioning, gross height.
Chris, Thanks for the great content. Is it possible to get the removable and lockable tow bar as a retro fit to a existing van?
Sir how many prices this VW Campervan? Thx be4🙏
Dark colours get so hot in the sun , prefer white.
Good tip!
Same here. I travel with dogs so prefer light colors.
Hi Chris,
Does this one have a solar panel on the roof?
Yes!
What is the price on this grand California ?
Go to 10:46 in the video.
Is this grand available for sale?
Give our Liverpool dealership a call as it was still on-site when I was last there.

What’s the price on the $ on the 680 ?
Sorry for all the questions, but is this one still for sale?
Not sure on availability now, sorry. Contact our Liverpool dealership for the latest info.
Didn't see a drop down 60-inch TV! 😁
Fabulous vehicle, I am old school so the only thing that puts me off it is the gearbox. I would want a 6 speed manual.

No extra bed option on the 680

“Because it’s the 680 you’ve got slightly more worktop” = “some worktop”
It's slightly more than what you get in the 600 model. Only slightly, though!
lithium battery? no oven......no pies, no pizza and no fresh cooked croissants in the morning.
is Inet included?
It's like living in an MRI scanner....
Sliding door opens into the road…forget all the fancy options, that’s a huge No No
The drivers door also opens into the road ,terrible design
Is there a electric version ?
Not in the UK
@@martinpigott3936 yes! In the UK the side loading door is on the wrong side ( road not pavement)
£100 grand 😂😂😂😂😂 the manufacturers are going to start going under. No way is that worth £100 grand.
They're selling 🤷♂️
@@CaliforniaChris the customers available that have that cash won’t last long.
Please dont say 'tae the veehicul' once more or I'm going to die
