I never realized how exposed the interior of the boat is without the tubes. I always envisioned a solid tub with the tubes outside of it, but here the tubes are an integral part of the exterior of the tub. Thank you,
I was always wondering what hold the tubes to the frame n this was good information, But two things instantly sping to mind after seen how easy it was to pull part of the tape off the top n the boat frame Not been water tight with 2 huge open parts behind the tubes, now makes more sense why Zodiac boats are more expensive so far as i know they are totally water tight without the tubes n they do not just depend on tape to secure the tubes to the boat but the nylo ridge thing that goes into the boat Much Much more secured in my opinion a good video though just the same thanks for uploading
I have a SeaDoo Explorer and it’s got some slow leaks. Do you have a template from making them before or do you require my tubes? Do you have an idea of cost? Thanks!
Hello, i am from south africa and the people in my area does not assist really. Which glue or type type of glue do you use to 1. Glue/seal the pontoons 2. Glue the pontoons back onto the hull. As mentioned in your chit chat, i am busy restoring a rib (following your advise not to paint the pontoons) I know many people (by us) say I should rather give the boat to a pro (their friends) to do but I want to do the project myself Really hope for some good advice Regards

Bad design. Most RIBs are a complete hull with tubes all around. If you remove the tubes its smaller hull then a conventional boat.
No kidding. My Zodiac Hurricane is a complete "tub" with tubes added. This looks like a really lame design.

I would like to know how you can undo the glue. Can I use a heatgun at a low setting to e.g. remove a D-ring?
+Robert DeRomph yes that will work
Can you make tubes for a dinghy that has had the majority of its tubes cut away?
