Pole Round 1 National Mallakhambh Championship 2024 Rohtak Haryana

  • Mishti Sanghani won 3 Gold medals in 34th Mini-Sub Junior National Championship 2024 organised by Haryana Mallakhambh Association. Competition happened from 29th March to 31st March 2024 in Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana.
    Competition involved 4 categories i.e. Individual Championship (Rope and Pole), Single Apparatus - Rope & Pole and Team Championship. There were 4 groups i.e. under 12 girls & boys and under 14 girls & boys (6 members in each group).
    Having qualified at district level (Mumbai Suburban) at Santacruz, Mishti topped ranking to represent Maharashtra for under 12 girls at Palghar; wherein she was declared team leader of a 6 member team of u/12 girls.
    Athletes from 17 states participated in the event, with approx 70 girls in the under 12 age group. Overall there were around 300 plus participants across all age categories.
    There were 3 rounds:
    1) Round one (29th March) - Children performed on both Rope and Pole Mallakhambh. Top 2 (combined total score) from each state were selected to proceed for the individual Championship. Similarly top 2 in each apparatus, proceeded for single apparatus competition. Mishti was selected for the individual Championship and Pole apparatus.
    2) Round two (30th March) - Here selected participants again performed on both apparatus. Mishti topped the score with the highest combined score (rope + pole) and won a Gold.
    3) Round three (30th March) - Participants now performed on individual apparatus for which they were selected. Mishti performed on Pole and topped the score to win a Gold.
    Apart from above, Maharashtra under 12 girls topped the chart (based on round one scoring) to win the Team Championship which fetched Mishti 3rd Gold Medal.
