The lonely and strong harmony between Japan's traditional Tsugaru shamisen and Takeshakuhachi, born in the cold regions of Tohoku, represents the Tohoku region covered with winter snow. There is a lyric saying that a young man who left the countryside and went to the city wants to go back to his parents, but he has not succeeded yet and misses his hometown. This famous singer’s name is Takashi Hosokawa.
This is the ' Minyo' (traditional Japanese folk music). By the way ,Koji Tamaki's grand mam was a teacher of Minyo . He learned Minyo from grand mam when he was a kid . I think Tamaki's vice technich root is Minyo . I have heard ...put a candle in front of MInyo singer's mouth . Minyo singers can sing without extinguishing the candle .
Boukyo (LONGING for home) Jongara (style of Shamisen both in instrument as well as Singing = Indigenous AOMORI prefecture). This must be the best version of this song as it features instruments and his great vocal technic. BTW the reason why Jonkara sounds so much deeper and impactful is its the neck of Jongara Shamisen is much wider than normal Shamisen that produces broader, deeper sound. Also it's long considered SOUL MUSIC OF JAPAN. Although many Japaese folk music has very sad origins and so is Jonkara (locals pronounce it That way) by poor financially beaten peasants. local Samurai lords taking away most of the clops of the year as tax when they can hardly feed themselves already. So it was a way to look away from misery and apease their minds to invent this style of presentation. The beat of this music is also accented on the latter notation that makes it compare to American Blues. I really like your assessment of songs you choose to make reaction videos. They are genuine and most importantly emotions you get from them which are spot on. I subscribed since you got me interested in how you'll do other singers and songs.
This song lyrics mean my dear old home.

Shakhachi

True 👍

Teresa teng's cover version released in.1985 is better whose sweet, meliodious, sentimental voice is even more enchanting.

Then I should listen to it ❤️
