Thanks for your videos. They're very helpful. For theming KWrite and Kate, I've found it's better to use Settings > Configure Kate/KWrite, at the bottom of the menu. The changes made there seem to be 'sticky.'
theres a hyprland env variable to force qt6ct or kvantum theme, but apps still don't follow the icon theme or colors set in qt6ct and kvantun works somewhat okok
@@aniruddh576 Yes, that is one in the video that I put, with qt5, I tried it with qt5 and qt6, and the result is the same. Non kde apps made with qt work just fine, at least the one I have tried.

@@Becoming-Human not with kde applications :) and don't mention nixos to me right now, ever since they are preparing the new release, unstable branch has been a complete mess for days
@@Becoming-Human and btw, kde completely hates home manger :) I gave up on all my config files for kde because when trying to change even simple wallpaper, after restart changes wouldn't be applied.

Thankyou. I had Kde preinstalled b4 hyporeland and was a nightmare using its apps on hyprland. Best video out there explaining why.

@@latex1130 when I edit bunch of config files it's vscodium, when on kde for quick edit I just use kwrite, everything short from terminal, micro :)
Would using home-manager and stylix help?
