    Thank you guys for sharing! I’ve been dealing with a lot of health stuff too and I suspect inflammation is a big contributor. I started an anti inflammatory diet Monday so I’m about a week behind you guys- I’m also pregnant with my 5th and juggling homeschooling and toddlers (my 4th just turned 1!). I totally get it being HARD. I just want a treat after I get the kids to bed!! Lol. You guys aren’t alone and it’s so motivating for me to see that I’m not alone in this health journey, either! And yes- the foundations we’re laying for our kids is totally going to be worth it.

    What you are doing and willing to share all of this to your viewers will definitely help others out there having very similar issues. The part that sucks is as we age more and more things go wrong but if you can come up with a game plan to prolong a lot of this stuff you guys will live a much healthier and joyful life. Good luck to you guys!!!!

    I’m in this with you and feel for you guys! We just found out after several years and many tests and doctors that my husband has Lyme disease along with some other issues and I did like Jared and went along to get tested too and found out that I have Hashimoto’s. We have four kids 8 and under and it’s been a lot to try and tackle, but we’re doing pretty well and are so hopeful! You guys have got this!

    I am doing this with the two of you. I spent the last two months eliminating raw sugar from my diet. I had to learn to say no especially to my mother’s deserts. I am down to eliminating cookies from my diet and lessening the sugar in my coffee. Sugar has been the hardest for me. I am adding fresh fruit instead. Good luck with your lifestyle change. If I can do it, so can you.

    • @anelej001
      @anelej001 Рік тому +2

      When you remove sugar completely, it gets much easier. It is much harder when you only reduce it, because you still have it in your system and you crave it all the time. But don‘t forget to remove bread too, because it also turns into sugar. After a while, your taste buds regenerate and you start enjoying healthy foods. I remember eating apples and bananas with cinnamon and they tasted so amazing, better than cake. I didn‘t eat bread and sugar for almost 2 years and it felt amazing, I really enjoyed the food I ate, but I made a mistake and started eating bread and sugar again. I became addicted after a while.

It is a difficult change, but next thing you'll know you won't even want or have a taste for the old foods. There is an astounding amount of healthful recipes that you can find online, that taste incredible! Ellie, you can make the BEST fruit sorbets/ice creams with plant-based milks. Keep it up!

    I'm so happy you guys are going the holistic route to heal your bodies! I just wish people would try a more holistic approach as a first response instead of a last option. Thank you for sharing your journey, it can really help so many people who are struggling and can't find answers from typical doctors who just prescribe meds to cover up symptoms instead of getting to the root cause.

Then, human nature being what it is, you slip and try something and feel trashed for a week. You just dont like the feeling so much you just dont eat it again.
    You CAN do this. Feeling good is so worth it.

    Get some books for the kids explaining how what you eat effects your body and health and energy levels. Whether its a kids book or something you read to them. When you are eating healthy and struggling to change eating habits explain to them why. Let them be involved and informed. Kids learn by example (as you well know). Change is hard. You be harder!

    Choose your hard. What you are already living is hard with no end in sight. Know your WHY for this new hard, write it down, display it and repeat it to yourself often, reminding yourself of WHY you are choosing THIS hard and the goals it's supporting🤜 Also, use your words to distinguish accurately and ground yourself. For example, it is hard.... what I've been doing is FAMILIAR, this is NEW and UNFAMILIAR. It can/will become FAMILIAR to me.
