A clip taken from my mix tutorial for TesseracT - War Of Being. This section focussing on the drum bus processing where I'm using compression and saturation to add weight and life to the drum sound.

One of the best snare sounds I've ever heard, man. Sounds like a gunshot in a room on the album, absolutely love it.
The man. The myth. The Acle.
This album's gonna be the release of the year.
I’ve heard of you guys for years but never gave much a chance for whatever reason, but the new single is so GOOOOOODDDDD. The mix is absolutely insane- the guitars have the best tone I’ve ever heard.
Sick stuff man! So excited to see you guys in Melbourne next year!!
Awesome! New album sounds incredible!
I'll take me some Acle any time I can.
More of this please
1:05 i literally had the same reaction
God of Sounds
If you use Devil-loc within Soundtoys Effect Rack, you can use the built in output dial to make up for gain discrepancy. Utterly insane mix!
Aha! Of course...I need to update!
Awesome- the parallel comp really adds so much punch and color. I know I read you tracked with real drums this time- did you layer the same samples as you normally do from previous albums? Sounds like a similar snare sound so guessing you layered that over the real snare to keep things consistent with the TesseracT signature snare sound. Toms sound much different this time though! In the best way possible.
Its like IL soundgoodizer, but it actually "goodizes"the sound
Please collab with GGD and make a kit man that would fucking rule! Or make a drum plug in which would rule even harder!
Hoping to do our own eventually 👍
Can we see how you mix guitars? :D How do you get that "Spanky" and full but also very clear tone that doesn't sound like it has too much gain...but also so full..i dunno how to explain :D
I do cover the guitars in the tutorial ☺
@@AcleKahney Oh, i apologize then..still on work, couldn't watch all of it, but will fix that in an hour. Ty for replying.
If I buy your videos , does it include superior drummer presets 😁? 🙏🏼
im still a noob, but i dont get how u can make bus groups for single parts of the kit (snare, kick, toms and rooms) routing them to their own processed channels, but then also have a whole drum bus? for para saturation and comp. help pls
I'm guessing that each part (snare, kick) have different mics, so all those mics go into one bus group. Example the kick would have been recorded with 4 mics, so all the mics output go into a kick bus ). All of these can be again sent to a master drum bus where you can handle the whole drums at once with the saturation and compression. I'm just learning this too, so if I am wrong, please feel free to correct me!
Each part of the kit have their own channel. Each channel then go to their own dedicated bus. Then each bus go to the master drum bus for final processing. Mixing drums is a mastecraft. It takes time to master.
Those drums become very "3d sounding" after adding all of that saturation.
ffs Acle, get a real job 🤣🤣😍
