Thank you for this tutorial! I have my Sweet 16 and Busy hands Barbie that have both lost legs and an arm. They have been like this for over 40 years! They broke when I was a child. So now I can reattach their limbs.
FYI, if you fill the little hole with nail acrylic after melting the tip back on, it will make it even more sturdy and even less chance of it breaking off again..

I have one that the previous owners father tried fixing it with an all thread screw and 2 nuts screwed to it. The screw went through the legs.... the dad made a hole on each leg at the hip :( luckily the mechanism is intact.... so she might talk again but not sure about walking..... poor thing.

@@BusyBfromGermany It was always the legs that came off! I would write yarn around them to tie them together so I could still play with them. I still have them, so When I dig them out I will try your methods of fixing them! Thank you!

My doll’s legs broke off shortly after I received them back in the late 1960s an early 1970s!
