How are F1 liveries designed?

- F1 livery design is tougher than you think. Here is why, and how F1 teams make theirs.
When it comes to motorsport, the livery is the single most important piece of branding a team will produce. It’s what’s shown to all of the fans on-track, and the millions of people watching at home.
Livery design is not simply a case of making something look pretty however, as motorsport is a big business with several different parties involved, each with their own vision and message they want to share with the world.

Another good example of a team that uses a slightly different colour on their vehicles is the Repsol Honda team in MotoGP. In person the Orange and Red are more fluorescent and brighter whereas on TV they appear darker and more like the brand colours
Weren’t the old Marlboro McLarens like that too?
@@PJTierney yea the Marlboro liveries look more fluorescent in person instead of just being the Red you’d expect when looking at a screen
You should have created more content. Just saw your Michael Schumacher video and you're good at what you do
Thank you. I have wanted to make more content for a long time, but it is hard to find the time and energy right now when my day job is quite demanding.
Awesome video! Can’t wait for you to comeback and make some more! Take your time though, no rush! ☺️
Thanks, I haven't forgotten about this channel, but life gets in the way 🙂
This guy's videos are getting criminally low views. Such high production quality
Very insightful video! Never seen one done on this, loved it
Another well put together video well done, I think some of the points you made might help with my art classes at school.
Great topic. I really like the Mercedes this year, I might even buy the scale model.
I need to see the cars more but early days, I like the Aston Martin.
Really helpful! Thanks, mate!
Glad you found it interesting 🙂
I'm keeping this for when I make liveries in GT7. Seriously, though, thank you for this video, even though I'm over a year late.
Glad you liked it 😀
Please come back mate your dirt tutorials are awesome!
Maybe some day 🙏
@@PJTierney :))))
Excellent video, thanks for putting this up.
Glad you liked it 🙂
PJ we need a comeback
Brilliant vid but u didn’t explain alpine and the pink tho
Are you fine mate? long time no see :)
@@awdawd4 Thanks 🙂
Still busy with my work at EA 👌🏻
with hype season for the dakar starting in just over a month, you maybe could make a video about it
That's a good idea.
I do want to make videos again soon but I don't think I'll be ready for a little while longer. Definitely want to talk about more motorsports though so thanks for the suggestion.
Mate where you at?? Waiting for that F122 content
Hey there. I’m not planning content for F1 22 on this channel, however I am hoping to make some official tutorials on the Codemasters channel so keep an eye out for that 🙂
Why no new video from you? Hope you are okay.
I posted an update on my community feed 🙂
I am okay, but currently UA-cam isn't my main focus in life.
9 months planning and then a big chunk of BWT money has you throw pink on it last minute two years running.
You could tell the Aston Martin thing was last-minute in 2021.
Pls put a video about f1 esports joining tutorial brother
More vids!
I’m a big fan of your videos but could you make a video about Moto GP like the formula E which I loved and I am now into formula E I would like to get into this but I need your help please
Thank you 🙂
I don’t follow Moto GP as much as I should but that’s a good idea.
Came here after the Ferrari 2024 Miami livery🥲
I kind of like the Miami livery. I think most people are upset about it because they had the expectation of an even more significant change.
Bro upload camera setup video at F1 22
Not making F1 22 videos on this channel, sorry.
Instead any f1 22 videos I make will be on the official game's channel.
@@PJTierney Ok Bro
@@joaquinortegaperyt For what it’s worth, my settings from ‘21 will work just fine, the camera system hasn’t changed.
@@PJTierney Ok Bro it is understood
@@PJTierney you work for ea or code masters do you.
Great video! But you need to work on your clickbaiting skills my guy
I agree, my title/thumb game is a bit weak. It's something I really need to get better at if I want these videos to succeed.
What’s the minimum amount of money a brand can pay to be on the car?
It varies and is usually confidential. A wing mirror on a Mercedes might cost more than a front wing on a Haas for example. A title sponsor seems to be between 20 and 50 million a season depending on who you're with, but little logos would be much less.
make the setting video for the pad on f122
Not planning on making one, sorry.
In all fairness, the 2021 video will work out just fine, I copied my settings over and it drove okay.
@@PJTierney when you will make a new video?
@@keknutiy9943 Right now I am working on the official F1 game channel moreso than I am working on my own.
I do want to make videos on my own channel again soon, but it's not my priority right now. 😕
