Ty for this video. I'll check this in the morning. Also got mine used and key won't unlock truck. Found out hard way soon after I plated my truck. So I'll check the door skin thing. Thanks again.
I have the same vehicle, I don't have the issue you have but on mine the door ajar icon keeps coming on and my running boards lights stay on all the time, have you ever had that issue, if so did you find a solution
I hope this helps I wok on my own vehicle and my fob stopped working on a rainy day I changed battery it worked fine then it stopped again couple weeks later changed battery and still not working got a new fob still not working I never used the pad under door handle but I’m going to try that fuse
I just tried changing a 20 A fuse on my 1998 E450 (Winnebago) for the door locks and key fobs and they worked for 3 seconds and smoke started billowing out and I had to get the fire extinguisher out as I had a major short that blew the new fuse and started a fire at the drivers door plug connection! Now what?
I'm in the same boat with my 01 Expedition, the fuse was fine from the start, when I hit the lock button inside you can hear a small click but the locks won't move, I even put in a new 30 amp fuse and got the same result. 🤷🏾♂️
@@574joeski01, I believe that the power wire that runs along the driver side and under the carpet on mine, may have corroded. I occasionally get water on the floor in the back seat when it rains heavy. I'm in the process of fixing the weather stripping this weekend. Not sure if it is that, or I didn't seal my new rocker panels good enough when I installed them. My old ones had rust on them, so I cut them off with a plasma cutter and installed replacements. Either way, pretty sure that moisture is the cause. It's a pain in the ass to fix it, if that's what happened... May be the cause of yours as well.
Someone help me please....I removed my door panel on my 2000 expedition....and now my door keypad use to work and now it doesnt.....I removed door panel and in the center of the door there's thick wires taped up well on that same strand there is 2 wires and had a square connection on the end.....I looked everywhere to plug these 2 wires in but can't find the correct spot....and i think it has something to do with why the door keypad won't do anything....Anyone help me??
hey I have a 2002 Ford expedition EDDIE Bauer 4.6 l and I'm having trouble with my locks so when I press lock on driver and passenger all doors lock also with fob and door pad all doors lock but when I hit unlock on anything the only door that unlocks Is the driver's door do you what the problem might be
Well if all the doors lock and only the drivers door is the only one that un-locks...then its seeing the command from the system. Try to reprogram your fab remote....ua-cam.com/video/ESgiL-OJhQY/v-deo.html
Also check the fuse for the door locking system. If it is good...then you might have a rod in the drivers door that has come off on the locking key switch inside. My neighbor had this issue and I fixed it last summer.

was the auto lock working with the actual buttons on the door panel or just the remote key fob, or both before you changed that fuse?
Auto Locks only.
Can you link your other video to me I can’t find it
How do you get the keyless door button to work again do i need replace the box underneath the dash? Or is their a fuse
Check wires
My 2000 Mountaineer is doing the exact same thing. Unfortunately for me, I pulled the fuse and it's fine. Back to the drawing board...
O WOW!

I have the same problem and thought this would cost me a lot. I can fix it on my own now! 😊 thank you!
Liz Cuevas ...Nice! I wish I could get my key code to work. I know It but it won't activate or unlock the door.
Have you tried resetting your code?

You should be able to hit the fab remote un-lock button two times fast
like and that is the command for all doors to un-lock. Have you tried
that?
yeah I tried that and only driver door unlocks ,inside unlock buttons only unlock driver door
everything works as it should just all other doors besides driver door do not unlock electrically at all

that un-locks...then its seeing the command from the system. Try to
