May I please know how to purchase and what is the purpose of the cord hanging off of the sheath of the sword? Please send me a link or some information on its purpose and where to purchase.
@@daknyaz if your sword has that cord tied in a beautiful decorative tie onto the sword itself and kind of a ribbon do you add another cord or do you untie it and use it how you did? I bought a sword that has that cord on there and it is decoratively tied onto the sword and it looks like I need to undo it and use it the way you did or can I tie another one onto it and have two of them
@@nadm It is the same Sageo. For display purpose you tie it around Saya and for wear you untie it and tie around obi belt. That's why it ties around Saya in the way that you can untie it simply by pulling two ends of the Sageo. There are multiple knots to tie a Sageo for display purposes.

Iaido has hurdles that are difficult to overcome as an art. The biggest 2 are laws regarding swords in many countries, and the lack of partner drills to test skill. Most people seek a more combative style art, but iaido is very different in the mindset required to be successful. The lack of good traditional sword school instruction outside of Japan is also a reason why Iaido has not become more popular beyond the All Japan Kendo Federation system.
わたしは、空手、合気道から居合（夢想神伝流）を稽古しました。「遠山の目付」でなんど死線を乗り越えたことか。車の運転の最中でも 居合の感により 事故を防ぐことが多々ありました。立ち位置のすばらしさ 心の置き方 姿の美しさ どうか継続をされますように祈ります
刀を振る姿の良さに感動しました。とても美しいと思いました。居合道をとおして学ぶことはたくさんあるとの話、とても興味あります。見えない仮想敵を相手にした修練には終わりがないこと、自分の軸を知ることの重要性が伝わりました。あまりメジャーではない（と思う）武道ですが、紹介していただきありがとうございました。

It is called Sageo. You can purchase it anywhere, even on amazon or tozando shop.
