@@scottycranwell283 The guillotine attempt was a bad idea it just got him in a piss poor position he's just lucky bc couldn't find the submission from the back. His power is good though.
I had to rewatch it a couple of times. Blackie Chan keeps his guards down a lot and it gave way for all of the major shots to land. Meyham switching levels with the inside calf kick then straight jab was pretty dope. It really made Blackie keep his guard down. I honestly thought that it could have been over in the end of the first if Meyham got on him. Blackie had really good scrambles. Props to them both, this was a really good match. The ref did a really good job.
Blackie Chan did have very nice scrambles but he gave up some good positions and even a couple submissions. I think some more practice on the ground would make him into a monster.
Not really... mayhem had trash jiujitsu and grappling. Blackie chans jiujitsu wasn't even that good either, but mayhem was so bad he'd give up his back like nothing
Feels like Blackie Chan got a really strong ground technique, and a great respect for the rules. But maaan, you GOT to have a better head defense, Mayhem got a freeway straight into that far too many times, while I was sure Chan would got this wrapped quick, at first. Awesome fight, thanks everyone involved! (and the fighters especially !)
na man, the groundwork was his weak point tbh, positions he got his opponent in on the ground, where he went face down and arms to the side etc, like in 3:33 is the easiest position to get strangleholds and arm lock-in, but if you look throughout this competition none of them achieves any propper strangleholds (except that goulltine hold though, that was pretty well done), or arm locks. there were a lot of chances there, and he missed all of them, realizing how he got no single hold on him. I specialize in grappling and groundwork submission, groundwork was his weakest game, if my opponent goes into fetus positions like that, does not fight back, he will doom himself, and you cant get him into a proper hold of some kind, you really got to train groundwork. I bet that both have not done things like judo and BJJ because both seemed to be way better with kicks and striking
@@curri3 bruh they're both "better" fighters. Mayhem got some clean punches and kicks while blackie chan took them like a beast. They both fought in their own techniques.

This was a fun fight. These guys have enough talent to make it interesting, but not enough to defend or slow it down. Just the right balance to make things wild.
What a great fight. Warriors with a lion's heart, both of them. Meyham earned the win, but Blackie Chan has nothing to feel bad about. Couldn't believe how hard he kept fighting after taking those head shots.

Meyham switching levels with the inside calf kick then straight jab was pretty dope. It really made Blackie keep his guard down.
