I bought a large white trunk to store my infant niece’s stuff in ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg , as she comes to my house frequently. For now, it’s toys on one side and diapers, wipes, and other baby care items on the other. As she gets older, it will be all toys. I had originally wanted a trunk with a hinged lid, but I was afraid of her smashing or pinching her fingers in it. This will be a much safer option. The lid has great padding in it and it is actually nice to sit on. It feels very sturdy and secure. Looks like it can be wiped clean easily. If it gets abused by her, I won’t be terribly upset because I paid less than $50 for it on Prime Day.

Yes it is easy to understand this video. But all it does is add a new code. So you end up with two codes. If you lock the door back after your new code is accepted and working if you try the 1234 code it will still work as well.

Easy tutorial. The bad part is that anyone who can follow the instructions on this video can break into any house that has a Brinks digital deadbolt. This would be why I am getting rid of it from the house we are moving into and going back to a keyed deadbolt. Something to be said for old tech.
This is a very well done video - However - I changed my lock on a garage door that was right handed to an exterior door that is left handed. I reset the lock and when I run the left/right hand identification process - I get an error. I did follow the directions by making sure the latch was turned to the right at 45 degrees. But - either way I get 3 red beeps when doing the procedure to identify if it is left handed or right handed. This is obviously an error - How do I resolve???
Is there a possibility the locking bar? Is aligned wrong? I have it up, but I get the programming error 3 red flashes after. Deadbolt isn’t “smooth” but it locks.
Yes it’s possible that usually means programming issue, but you wanna make sure it’s smooth, I wish you could share video in chat or pics. I would try resetting the programming a again and screw the locking bar back in again and just double check position make sure screw are not it too tught
I have a kwikset 264 but it’s named gate house and I reset it but the lock doesn’t come out when I enter the program code 0000 kwikset 0, and it already knows which way it comes out to lock when it didn’t come out when it’s supposed to, is that normal?
I have a different model. The instructions actually left out one programming step but I figured it out. The same step was left out for all of the different functions. I need to contact Brinks and maybe post a video too.
@@PARTYNOOB-lol It was a programming step. I don't have the manual with me because I'm away from home. I'd have to go through it again. I'll try to find the manual online.
I struggled fir like 10x then finally got it working, so I decided to make a video have you tried something simple like 4321 after you use they program code 1234
Tim great video thanks! How come you don't mention that you can program up to 6 user codes? Just repeat step 3 but add a new user code. I have 2 programmed.

I just installed one of these locks and everything works fine except that I always need to wait 2 seconds between key presses. Any idea what's the problem? I also tried resetting the lock but that didnt help either. It's driving me crazy having to wait 8 to 10 seconds to unlock my door every time!
@@elitesportsmedia I was wondering if I overtightened the screws and somehow bent the board. I unscrewed everything and also made sure the wire was snugly connected. It works fine now, thankfully.

Question perhaps u can help…I’m guessing I have a right handed door as the knob is on the right side…originally it was installed on a door with the knob on the left…new door is on the right…so I installed it and the keypad function is like backwards…I have to put in the code then brinks to lock it…which isn’t right you should just hit the brinks button…then when I unlock it the code won’t work but if I just hit the brinks button it unlocks………Do you have any clue what could be causing this?

I've tried to set the auto lock feature 7 times using different second values with no luck. Are you successful doing this with your unit?

Sounds like you need to take that one back sounds like a motherboard issue
