I have people living in cars in my neighborhood. Many many times I’m having to pick up tons of trash from the street that they literally open their car doors, dump on the street and then drive off. Playing music very loud late at night or just laughing and yelling loud. Sound travels at night and they don’t care.

A good thing to have would be a EV charger port. Have it hidden under the van a bit, or have it so that the port is connected to a long cable that you can bring out the door. People will probably see you charging and think "That person's such a idiot for making that truck an electric vehicle". There's also some methanol and hydrogen generators for emergencies that are very efficient, but those also cost a few thousand bucks.
You really did "tech out" with the raspberry pi. I would have just hung a cheap wifi AP off the DVR and logged into the DVR browser for camera viewing/functions. If you want to be alerted when someone is standing next to either door maybe think of motion sensors mounted in moms attic facing straight down with remote chime that can wake you up.
There's a lot more to the raspberry pi that will be revealed as time goes on... camera viewing is just one of it's functions. The DVR I have does include motion alerting which I'll eventually get set up.

(Moms attic, front bumper etc) should be fun experimenting
