  • Dec 9, 2017 I made a courtesy call to theater patron Tessie and her husband National Artist Arturo Luz. They remembered my singing "Impossible Dream" during the book launch of fellow modernist Romulo Olazo and requested I sing it for them. After which they retold for me and my kids their beautiful love story, about the early days of the Manila art scene, starting Luz Gallery, about their many travels, his fascination for temples in India. Sir Art then hand-picked a photo print of one of his temple drawings and offered it to me. More precious than the masterpiece was this once in a lifetime moment spent with one of the greatest Filipino artists and his beloved.
