@@SeleTraining What do you mean by preview mode? The only ones I am aware of are the preview of a printed page and the preview of things like format options (eg Bold) in a cell. I can't see how the formula tooltip (which I have also been using for years) is applicable to either of those.
@@matttownsend7119 #8 is called Value Preview Tooltip. It is because now it shows you a preview of the formula results without having to do multiple steps as in the past.
Thanks for update :) Regarding the textsplit and the spaces, I would consider adding another textfeature - the TRIM - this would also handle any possible double spaces, and always beats hardcoding.
Dreamed with the Ctrl + Shift + V for many years. My laptop had to have a List key to use List+V because of this, from now on i´mfree to buy any laptop :D
Concerning TEXTSPLIT: you can also enter delimiters in cells and refer to them in the delimiter argument, e.g. =TEXTSPLIT(A3,B1:D1,,1), where the delimiters are posted to B1:D1
Recommended Pivot-Tables have been available since 2013. The only thing that's new is that they show up on the right hand side instead of in a dialog box.
Do you have an excel template for bank reconciliations without the direct connection to a bank statement? With an option to manually reconcile from the last reconciliation date?
@@SeleTraining Ah! okay cool, well it's about time then... I was wondering why it wasn't working properly at work. It's about time the MS Office team started creating some more user friendly formulas. I felt like a 12 year old when they finally implemented Xlookup. There is still so much more that they need to do, but at least they're doing something and most importantly focusing on better Formulas again. I've been using Google sheets for a few years now and love what they've done so far... there is still a lot they need to do, but what they have done is implemented Great functions that MS could learn from and adapt. I just wish Google would finish a project before moving on to the next. I must be honest, I mostly use Google sheets, and only use MS office when at work.
Heya great video, this is useful but some features are only available for the beta channel for now (which isnt generally available), paste values shortcut and recommended pivot tables, also the tooltip click to select has always existed, what is new now is that is shows the value output at each stage but your version doesn’t seem to show it in the demo
These features are great. I am suffering from a feature that was in the filter function I have a list in with names, dates, and gender and a photo in one sheet Nd i have a filter function in the next sheet trying to extract a list from the first list based on gender or names or dates and the function works Beautifully and get all the information except for the photo. I tried so many ways but no luck. I will appreciate it if you can help.
Yes, I see that the FILTER function will not bring over a photo. If you can referenced the photo as a link you can use the example shown in this video and use a URL. The filter should bring over the URL. Then display the photo based on the URL.
If you are referring to the Insert Pictures option in Excel it just uses the Bing Photo search. That is the same as doing image search in Bing in your browser. Not sure there is a specific URL for it.
It would also be cool if clicking on one of the parameters would display the result of that parameter, and not just highlight that section of the formula. This would prevent you from having to press F9, and then undoing that action to return the formula back to its dynamic state.
I would like to teach a great app called Total Commander which is so much better then File Explorer and Finder. I have the material but don't know how to make great videos and what tools to use. Can you help?
About 152 in your clip You're talking about bringing in a table from a web page I don't understand how to get that web page whether I'm in like Yahoo and grab the web page do I take a a copy of it a control copy or what and then bring it in I'm not sure how to do that otherwise the video is great😂
Any saved image of a table of data will work. You can use the Snipping Tool in Windows to make a copy of a web page and save it to a file on your computer. Then open it as shown in the video. You could also copy the image to the clipboard and then choose "Image From Clipboard" instead.
Also image is not rolled out everywhere so how useless is that. If you use it you might send it to a colleague ina region where it is not rolled out. Utter trash.
You could say that about many features over the years. This is one reason Microsoft pushes the subscription based version of Microsoft 365 Excel. That keeps people up to date.
So in other words, nothing useful. Oh, but if you have data in a nice clean excel spreadsheet you can take a picture of it, and then import it into excel from your picture? Wow, that is so much easier than just copying and pasting the sheet! What I NEED is to import data from a picture of data handwritten by my sloppy intern with terrible handwriting.
What is your favorite Excel 2023 features?
#1 for me

Short tutorials for most yet very informative functions. Thank you so much.... New Subscriber here.
Great video. Thanks!
Tip #8 has been around for 10+ years. Your video will hopefully introduce it to more users. It’s a great tool for debugging.
The old method has been around for #8 but they added the ability to view it in preview mode. That’s new.

Nice video.

Very useful.keep it up. Thank you
Like this style of video, solid explanations, no fluff. Picked up a few things I didn't yet know about. Thanks! *subscribed

Can I ask a specific question?
Sure
Awesome

CTRL+Shift+V has been around for a VERY long time.
It was added recently to Excel. Only at the end of 2022 for the insider preview. It’s been around for other Office apps and Google sheets though.

They are available if you are on the monthly update. If you are set to 6 months you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
These features are great.

Excellent video, but sadly the Ctrl+Shift+V option still doesn't work for me
yes, the same
Can you provide the url to the Microsoft image galleries?
If you are referring to the Insert Pictures option in Excel it just uses the Bing Photo search. That is the same as doing image search in Bing in your browser. Not sure there is a specific URL for it.
Will these updates eventually work their way to EXCEL PRO 2016?
Not likely. The subscription version is what gets these types of updates.
Do you need office 365 to have these features ? Or can you use the 2021 or something
Most of these require the latest subscription version of Microsoft 365 Excel. That’s the version that gets all the updates first.
Does tip n° 5 exist in version 2016?
No, this is new only recently.
Control shift v doesnt work for me and my excel is up to date, any ideas?

Re IMAGE: Google Sheets also allows you to insert images stored on your hard drive.
I do see sometimes that Microsoft implements features that Google Sheets already has. I'm sure they keep notes!
@@SeleTraining Definitely, and vice versa.
Well the CTRL-SHIFT-V Shortcut does not work for me. I am using Microsoft 365. Is it because my subscription is not Business version?
Make sure to run the update so you have the latest version. It is a very recent addition.
Mine doesn't have that tab =from picture
Make sure you check for updates as shown in the video.

True, but those functions have been around for over a year.
