Black screen fix: Go to where you extracted the CODEX Folder. Copy all of those files in the folder. There should be 9 files in there. Right-click the Resident Evil 2 icon on your desktop. Click open file location. Right click in that folder and paste what you copied. Now run that re2.exe file. That did it for me. Good luck.

Yea this game fails to launch on my pc. I think there is some sort of incompatibility with either Ryzen 3900x or my MSI x570 motherboard. I pretty much tried everything possible that can be done. This game does however works fine on my older i7 875k gaming pc with 980 ti. Strange.

I have a solution, this worked for me on two computers displaying the same error. this coment solved it for me For black screen and crash at startup issue. Change your time zone to US & Canada, your country to United States and regional format to English(United States). This fixed it. For crashing after loading a game. Crash occurs when using DX11. However there is a workaround. Do not load autosave file. Load only manual saves(i.e typewriter saves). For brightness issue(too dark or too bright) dont use DX12 use DX11.

I have a solution, this worked for me on two computers displaying the same error.
Just download this .rar: www.mediafire.com/file/de3wzvbfq3ed3s0/re2.rar/file, extract it and copy the executable to the game path, then, open the game and enjoy. If it don't work tell me and I will upload another solution I have.

For black screen and crash at startup issue. Change your time zone to US & Canada, your country to United States and regional format to English(United States). This fixed it.
For crashing after loading a game. Crash occurs when using DX11. However there is a workaround. Do not load autosave file. Load only manual saves(i.e typewriter saves).
For brightness issue(too dark or too bright) dont use DX12 use DX11.
