Nice. Wow. I love television history, old films and videos. Many years ago, PBS did an excellent job on a tribute to Ernie Kovacs. The Nairobi Trio skits are so funny.
thank you so much for putting this up. i loved Ernie Kovacs and this song. i never suspected that the personnel comprising The Nairobi Trio included guest participants at different times. it is an unforgivable shame that tapes of the shows were destroyed and i wish there were some kind of technology to access human memory or the cosmic ether or something and bring these back so that they could be enjoyed again and shared. didn't Ernie smoke a brand other than the Dutch Masters Edie Adams did commercials for? one of early television's true geniuses.
After Kovacs' death, Edie Adams was commercial spokesperson for Muriel cigars for many years. I.I.N.M., Kovacs himself was partial towards Havanas, but was open to doing Dutch Masters ads.
I have been searching for this tune for decades!! Thank you for bringing my quest to an end!!
You're very welcome!
I know it from the Colt 45 commercials I watched as I kid. I loved it.
I had this song in my head and I had no idea of the title. I had to hum the tune to Google search and so here I finally found it.

Steve Allen comes pretty close! But Kovacs' show was great.
@@lbjlbj1 Louie Nye, Tom Poston, and Don Knotts were part of the Steve Allen Show at the time.
@@6or18 Yep, remember that too. Just old enough to remember, I might add. Ha. Steve Allen was hilarious! Smock! Smock!
