It takes years of practice. The better you get at sketching everything out, the better you will become at taking shortcuts. But you gotta keep practicing. That's the key.
@@limitlesssoulart i've been into art for so long tho, like 10 years of actually trying to get better at it, and i never feel confident enough to start doing shortcuts and every artwork just takes an outrageous amount of time 😭 how do you start
@kennyteken8374 I've been drawing for 20+ years. Years back, i started with copying. I know theirs a lot of controversy about that in the art community. I don't think it's bad if you use it to perfect your own art form. Copying will help you understand the human anatomy a little better if you are still struggling with that. Once you are confident enough, you will be able to use that in your own artwork later on. It will take weeks, maybe months of practice, but in the end, it will be worth it. Always remember. Drawing something that has already been created is a lot easier to draw than something you created out of imagination. If you have any more art related questions, feel free to ask🙂
@limitlesssoulart thank you!! :-) I try to copy pose references all the time and draw whichever character I want above it, do you think I should go the extra step and full on copy existing artworks? :0

Theirs nothing wrong with copying artwork that has already been created if it's ONLY for practice.
