Bus lane violators apprehended on EDSA

- i-act continue with their bus lane enforcement efforts on EDSA.
Despite the overhead signs, road-level sighs, lane markings, barriers and constant media coverage - some drivers still decided to use the exclusive bus lane, in an effort to get ahead of every other road user on the highway.
The best way to use the exclusive bus lane, is to ride a bus 👍
Best way is to increase the penalty and then jail time for repeat offenders.
Not obeying road rules is NOT a Jail time penalty, it's a simple Misdemeanour , but once you cancel their licence and they continue to drive ( unlicensed ) then Jail time will be warranted. In some countries that is classified as Unintentional Attempted Murder or Accidental Attempted Manslaughter, depending on which part of the world you are in at the time the offence is committed. But I do agree Penalties should be raised even for first time offenders. Don't spend 10,000 piso on new rims and tires for your motor bike and then tell an officer you can't afford 3,000 piso on a LIFE SAVING Helmet.
@@ericmraustralia1252 You made some very good points !
@@whatisdoneisdone9171 maglagay na lang ng sniper sa edsa para sa mga violators.😋
That same armored car/security agency rear-ended me some years ago. No registration, the driver does not even know the model/make of what he is driving and somebody from their company (an ex cop as he claimed) was flaunting his connections and sort of intimidating us to just let it slip. Im out the second I got my police report from the traffic sector in Kamuning. These security agencies are bullies and are so full of themselves thinking they are law enforcement or something.
Up. We need someone to humble these bullies
Most of these armored vehicles are owned by someone from the military / police. Hence the aggressiveness on the road.
@@karlgorospe8935D nila kaya armored van. Kinakaya kaya lamang cla.

Damn! Pinoy pride! 😘😘
those armored vans dont even respect pedestrian lanes
True
Make the penalty hurt starting at 5K for PUV and private sedans and 20K for all SUVs and trucks.
Laws help to ensure that people behave in a predictable and orderly way. This makes it easier for people to live and work together. Sadly, some motorists just lacks empathy, guilt, and remorse. Good thing laws are strictly implemented by authorities.
More of this bus lane videos please
I would pay for premium content to see the full bus lane and car towing videos. So satisfying!!
FOR THE PRIVATE CARS USING THE BUS LANE IMPOSE A HIGHER PENALTY NOT JUST 1K PESOS LIKE 5K PESOS PENALTY AND IF THEY DO IT AGAIN DOUBLE THE PENALTY IF THEY DO IT AGAIN 15K PESOS. FOR THE RICH PERSON IT'S CHICKEN FEED THE 1K PESOS. IN MY OPINION ONLY.
1k is laughable penalty....i agree at least 5k first offense
increments of 5, first offense 5k then 10k then 15k, 4th should be a suspension of license + fine. Get these kamotes to pay as much as Singaporeans do on road tax for private vehicles👍
@@10OZDusterAgree. 1K is too cheap for car owners.
I hope they increase the penalty and also the points deducted with their license.
Great to know that IACT and MMDA are doing these bus lane ops more often coz I see a lot of private vehicles taking liberty when I'm on EDSA. More power to them and to you, GA, for relentlessly covering these ops!
I saw a HPG police officers as well and it's good to see them with the ACT/MMDA imposing the law.
Increase the fine
. Triple it.
right the fine must be 5k
5k is cheap... Make it 30k. I often see "ViP's" with their vehicle back up using the Edsa bus lane. 10k for motorcycle riders.
@@AndrewR10001 50k for vehicles is fair enough, 5k for motorcycle..
Impose penalty of P20K for first offense P50K for second, see if there will still be violators
😂
Korek! Mukhang hnd yan maintindihan yan ng otoridad. Lalo ung mga illegal parking or wlang mga parkingan kya paulet ulet lng dahil mababa penalty at parusa
Singaporeans pay a 'road tax' of around P58k a year to use private vehicles on the road, if the fine is even a quarter of that, we should see a reduction of low iq kamote drivers ruining infrastructures meant to ease the flow of traffic for everyone
Those ambulance tailgaters really grind my
Gears 😤😤😤
Increase the penalty fee to an absurd amount, lets see if they will still go through the bus lane and bike lane 😂
Pnp sosia should monitor these s.g and their respective agencies especially those handling armored car , majority of the time they're not cooperating with enforcers/ blatant disrespect and disregard with traffic laws.
Most of the armored vehicles I have encountered are bullies. Sense of entitlement is strong with this group.
Jeepneys, Buses, Taxis, UV Express, Trucks, you name
Motorcycle taxis like angkas and joyride often use the bus lane along edsa. Good job mmda.
wow thanks GA for having 2 new uploads on the same day!!!
Bus lane very laudable project. And in every project we embark into the enforcement of the laws is almost always forgotten.
Why is the Coast Guard working traffic duty?!? The people that say they are an "government official" and or "Pulis" should be arrested for impersonation. Also the people who don't stop should be arrest as well. I absolutely love these videos. A wonderful service👏🏼
Longer and more videos like this please. I can watch it all day 😂
I remembered 5yrs ago I made a wrong u turn 2 miles from my house, a cop caught me and a $160 ticket. Never made the same mistake again. In the US it would be a big mistake to argue with the police. I had my registration and driver license ready in my hand before the police approached the driver side of the car.
This is only during day time. Some of the enforcers are getting in side when got 12 midnight. No apprehension during midnight when all drivers are driving so fast
There's only a skeletal group of enforcers at night.
They'd need a higher budget to get the required level of enforcement at night.
@@GadgetAddict They need to impose a higher fine to violators, 1,000 pesos is not a deterrent. It just dares the violators to see if they'll get caught or not, and most of the time - they don't.
What's going on is there are a lot of UNDISCIPLINED drivers, diskarte ba kamo? 😡
They should seriously bring back the NCAP for the MMDA atleast
I agree.
The MMDA NCAP had been operating for several years without any serious complaints.
It was the LGU NCAP that people were unhappy with. Because of the inflated penalties, questionable enforcement choices and the partnership with private companies.
In fact the MMDA weren't even a respondent in the case that was filed against the 5 LGUs. But somehow they ended up on the TRO 🤷♂️
I hate that LGU NCAP. I got a ticket for beating the red light (no countdown), technically my fault (stuck at the intersection because of trailer trucks) but not even half of my car crossed the line. Now I can admit that I should have been more vigilant but the fine was 2000 pesos which is too hefty, I didn't even block the intersection nor a pedestrian lane. I also received the ticket 3+ months after the violation.
@@wookiebear8468you deserve 5x more of the penalty you get. Geez. The self Entitlement of people like you. You should be ashamed of yourself. And your kids should be ashamed of you, if you have some. The audacity to complain here about the penalty when you yourself admitted to breaking the law.
My multi prong suggestions for share rides
1. Make sure that LTO will issu license to those who oass the written and driving test.
2. Share ride app companies should train and test their driver partners to ensure that they realy know how to drive AND follow traffic laws. This is in case fake yung documents. These will weed out the bad eggs from the start.
3. Sue those so submit fake documents. This way maraming matatakot tumangkilik sa mali. Supply and demand eh. Kung walang demand, walang supply.
Hurt them where it hurts the most, their wallets.
Go i-act saludo kami sa inyo
Love your videos on the Edsa busway sting 👍. Want more next time 😁
more edsa bus lane videos GA please. Armored Cars should be heavily penalized, ganyan karamihan kaabusado din sila
Yes, i agree make the penalty high so that most will not repeat the offense. Its sad that drivers here in the philippines have no discipline or awareness.
I believe the best way to prevent this once in for all is to Reverse the south and north bound of Bus lane.
This way if anyone private vehicle enter the bus lane they are technically counter flowing the buss lane.
this will eventually prevent them from entering the bus lane for good.
it also will make the bus door correct since all buses in Philippine have their door on the right side.
the only problem I can see in this kind of set up is the Crossing.
I don't know how it can be done without blocking the private car's left and right turn on both side.
Good idea...!
In my opinion dpat ang gobyerno gumagawa ng long term solution pra iwas abala na nren s mga citizens or expat car owners. Since nka ID system nren tau dpat gumawa nren ang LTO or MMDA ng hakbang pra dna harangin at iwas traffic at abala naren s mga commuters.Just like here in Qatar once nawrong lane ka or any car violation sa national road camera lng po or kung my inforcer man plate number lang ang kukunin nila and makikita nlng s ID nila na meron na sila violation at dpo nila marerehistro ang sasakyan hanggat d po ma settle ung violation and that's the best thing pra maiwasan na ung mga ganyan argument during the operation.
Nice 👍double the MMDA & double the fine. Need lots of tow trucks.
They should enforce camera no contact apprehension again. And instead of fines of money, licenses should have points and every time they pass through lanes they shouldn’t pass through in, points get deducted and when they’ve run out of points, the’ll be sent a letter/email notifying them that their license has been revoked. And to have their license renewed, they should go back to driving school. The renewed license should have few points in it and more points will only be earned when few or no violations are committed each year.
Penalties should be more harsh so that these violators learn their mistakes.
yup, high payment 250k minimum. tapus community service.
Great Job to MMDA and IACT for doing these frequently.
Great Job also to you Gadget Addict for the videos.
The government should start increasing the penalty for bus lane violators and for those repeat offenders, impound their vehicles and double the penalty
How about increasing the penalty to maximum of 5k so that those violators will think twice before they enter that bus lane?
they need this in cebu city. im here and it is wild and how traffic can be made better.
This is GREAT! I love seeing the MMDA actually apprehending these people!
I guess the security agency who owns that armoured car is retired AFP or PNP ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Now that we have National ID (Philsys), maiging lahat ng government ID"s ilink sa Nat ID. Dito sa Saudi, lahat nakalink sa Iqama (Residence ID). Drivers License, Car Registration, Medical Insurance, Car Insurance, Bank Account, SIM Card, etc. Technology and Digitalization is the answer to address corruption, crimes, and unlawful practices na nakasanay ng tao satin.
Hello Gadget Addict nice cover's about the bus way violation of some drivers.BTW I have some suggestions to MMDA regarding bus Lane, they should repaint the lane that does not have barrier so it would be more identifiable Specially during night driving and also for the safety of motorists.Tnx stay safe Gadget 👍👍
I think it would be DPWH that paints it. But regardless, I do agree with you.
Those guys shouldwear reflector vest, it is dangerous they are doing
2 videos in one day. Thank you!
The penalty should be increased to 10K. I’m sure it will be the right pill to stop this insanity.
The P1K penalty at present is cheap and not a deterrent. For private car owners, P1K is just a small change.
Honestly I feel like many drivers would still use the bus lane, because they simply don't expect to get caught.
But if the penalties are increased and the TRO against NCAP is dropped, I think we will see dramatic improvements, even if we'll never see perfection.
I remembered once when the bus lane at ayala until taft ave was also taken by private vehicles. The police wasn't there at the moment
i hope they bring back the concrete barriers along edsa like no gaps in between except for intersections.. if it is meant for buses only then it should travel in a straight path right? Barriers all the way
I think it won't happen because they were removed for safety reasons.
They tried the pole bollards, but they were getting ran over within just days 🤦♂️
@@GadgetAddict Then they will have to do it manually if thats the case.. sending the team there to flag them down. Since it is an IACt that flags down, they shoul confiscate licenses right away and not ticket..drivers should attend seminars before getting back their licenses..and hefty fines of course. That carousel lane/law has been implemented years now. Drivers should be aware by now yeah?
The fine should be increased
Great work.. great coverage... BUT.. I don't see any foreseeable changes anytime soon with people who violate rules.
Best put in yellow line and BUS LANE LABEL, so the drivers will not be confused
The drivers are not confused. They are very much aware that it's a bus lane.
There are overhead signs, road-level signs, lane markings, barriers and nearly weekly media coverage of the bus lane.
Great jog guys!
Time to increase fines to 10k per bus lane violation!
nakaktuwa paano nag tatago yun i act para di sila makita :) hope mas organize yun traffic for all
What do you want them to do, stand in the middle of the bus lane and risk getting hit by a bus going at a high speed?
They look, step back, look, step back. That's the safe option.
Whether you can see an enforcer or not, the rules of the road should be followed.
i hope they change the penalty to ticket + impound + 7 days community service for first time and repeat offenders
Isa lang solution sa traffic sa pinas... Araw, Araw at Gabi, Gabi na pag enforce at paghuli sa mga vehicle owners na walang private parking space, 100k pesos pataas agad violation fee plus confiscated Driver's license at automatic impound Ang sasakyan, kapag nagawa yan Ng LTO for sure malaking percent Ng mga sasakyan sa maynila mabbawas.
1st offense 5k, 2nd 10k, 3rd, a year suspension
4th, brain damage 😂
Good job PBBM administration!
Joyrides company should do the action about their riders violators
Any bus lane violators must suspend theire licences straight away specially motorcycle and put extra enforcer to stop motorcycle cause they're too many and confiscate licences.
Thank you sir Godbless
Dapat lakihan ang penalty sa mga unauthorize na gagamit ng bus lane @ dapat my limit ang ticket example 3 offense lang then ang susunod my seminar na ang driver.
Never ending ,maybe bigger fines if you hurt the wallet your memory works better 👍
Agree with you. I was once apprehended with expire OR/CR, modified muffler and different color from my CR.
My license was confiscated and I was fined around 20k.
After that, I always renew my registration in advance, got my muffler back to stock and registered the current color of my MC.
😁😁😁
Take their licenses away and ban them from getting another one for the rest of their life. Driving is A PRIVILEGE, not a right.
still need a special seminars for the drivers.
Iyong signboard ng buslane only dapat dugtungan ng "BUS LANE ONLY-3,000 pesos penalty for violators" ✌️
Salamat Po !!!
I hope I-ACT would consider to allow Point-to-Point/P2P Buses like this 3:20 to be on bus lane especially if their route is in EDSA. They don't need to pickup any passengers in any carousel bus stop since they are Point-To-Point Busses. There are so many passengers riding Point-to-Point/P2P Buses to their workplace, etc like in Ayala, Makati.
So many entitled selfish pinoys. I endure Edsa traffic or take the train. Some people just think their time is more important than others. Really sad
Lots of revenue for the government.....good work by law enforcer.
All vehicles that not allowed to pass on bus line must gave a higher penalty 1st offense 5,000 pesos penalty second time 10,000 and third time revocation of license.
Kailangan silang magrefresh ng rules of the roads
Bus lane violation fines should increase to 10k pesos. Let see kung may viviolate pa
The disrespect to the road rules is staggering in Philippines. The arrogants and luck of driving culture it's just unbelievable !
If Bong Nebrija is too strict we'll that's what we need motorists complaining about him cause they need someone who is easy to get away with their penalties.
Tama lang yan the edsa carousel is proven to be effective despite its flaws they should be studying how to improve it. Like some stations are still on the side like Ayala or that a lot of stations are very inconvenient to get out of like ortigas grabe ang exercise bago ka makalabas.
Female officers thank you
Hey Bro Diregarding Traffic Sign is just a Simple Traffic Violation to Avoid Delayed/Obstruction just issued the Citation Ticket Right Away no need to.ask to for OR//CR photo Copy
In PH, if you are stopped for any traffic violation, it is automatic that enforcer would ask for driver’s license and OR/CR. It is in the law that you should always have your OR/CR to show proof of ownership.
Armored vehicle drivers are very arrogant, I hope you guys could keep an eye on drivers of those kinds of vehicles.
They're confident because even when they have killed or injured people, they were able to continue operating their business as normal.
(Not necessarily this specific operator of armored vans, but just armored vans in general)
I've lost count of the number of times armored van drivers have refused to cooperate with enforcers, whether they have a load or not.
From top to bottom, arrogance is embedded.
There are SOME armored van operators that are far more responsible and respectful than others.
The penalty has to increase to prevent them from even thinking of passing through the Bus Lane. And double if violator has a previous same penalty.
They should bring back NCAP
Enforce again the NCAP with higher penalty....it will reduce some undisciplined drivers
Put concrete barrier end to end to solve this problem permanently and place CCTV every 100 meter Govt spend billions on road improvement but no action to put CCTV.
The best solution for that is to put traffic enforcer in the entrance of bus lane so that vehicle not allowed will not be entering in the lane or commit violation. Haysss.
