- Fishing on Chesil Beach can be hard at times but it can also be very rewarding, fishing after a storm can bring all kinds of species so I have put together some hints and tips whilst fishing this magical place.

Awesome video! Really learned a lot TY. Im going down on monday but i am unsure of where my best chance of actually catching a fish is. There are a few carparks for chesil beach. I would be forever grateful if you could help at all. Many thanks Kevin
Hi, we normally go to Abbotsbury and then we walk along the road at the back until you get to the cottages, you can target all species there and it’s easy fishing when your not 100% sure where to go, I hope that helps

east coast golf Orkarites hi thanks for that, I have used all types of rods and reels over the years, from zipplex to century to my favourite rods I am using again now, which are a couple of Ron Thompson accelerators with the original 7ht’s very modded though, then for some places I use penn 515’s if a fast retrieve is needed, the new range of Leeds rods is highly recommended for performance and price though and you can get different power from them depending on what you prefer, thanks for watching us and please if you want any advice just drop us a line. 👍
@@shorefishingfilms ty so much kevin for the great advice , I havnt fished for 5 years now , I use to use 2 akios 656 ctms and Leeda m sport matches, but trying to get everything I need to star again is frightening kevin lol , keep the brilliant vlogs coming when we can go again , and you and your family stay safe m8 👍👍

This video of yours makes me want to start fishing again ( i used to fish Poole harbour) with a cheap boat rod, but i was more interested in netting - only used the rod when i was bored with waiting for the tides to turn Now, much older, boatless and living in Dorset, i would like to fish for mackerel or similar - i only want a cheap set up as im not that interested in sitting around for hours like you dedicated blokes - just want to get enough fish to eat and maybe freeze some. Thats as far as my interest goes i'd even consider a long bamboo pole and some string if it works !

Hi glad you enjoyed the video, the best rig for there is an up and over rig, I have been experimenting with the clip down pulley dropper which works really well with a plain lead for plaice and stuff but for the bigger fish I think it’s hooking power is limited, I also use a short pulley which has worked wonders on chesil, but an up and over is best in my opinion, thanks again for watching
