David's friend Mark O'Neil sadly passed away with COVID 19 in March of 2021, I dedicate this video to him as it was comment mark last said to Dave about sorting his box out.
This is how i customised my fishing box.

box looks well dave sorry to hear of your loss maybe a nice touch and reminder of him would be to get one of the leg tops with his name on and put on the leg he told you to replace then he will always be with you on the bank top man stay safe

Great looking box, Dave. I think you might have started a trend cos I’m wanting to make changes to mine now. So thanks for the inspiration to get on with it. And also my deepest sympathy to Marks family and friends for their loss. He was obviously well loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. R.I.P Mark.

Good job done in memory of your mate Mark O'Neil. He is most likely giving you the Thumb up from above. I like the comment that Joe Flynn posted about marking the leg you replaced with his name on it in memory of him. Although I am not a Rive fan I must admit the box looks a thousand times better than before.

A bit of black spray paint on the legs and footplate would finish the job nicely. I know it would rub of eventually but it would look like a new box

Dave, I never met Mark but I didn’t need to. I can see how much he meant to you as a friend from your reactions in this video - clearly he was a decent man. done a great job there dave, i resprayed my legs with matt black tin spray from toolstation, it’s only a fiver a tin and my legs look brand new too, may be worth a look for you mate

Firstly box looks great and just taking the time to do it like you want is spot on.
I wondered about a couple of extras. Firstly, I reckon you and Rodger could do something great with the box legs themselves by painting them? I don't know a lot about spray paints but you get so many colours now. Even a matte black would look 👌
Second, I wondered whether you could get the leg that Mark O suggested getting changed, engaved with his initials or date or whatever? Might be OTT but thought should suggest anyway.
Looking forward to some fishing vids now with you putting a load of snap in and that tip going round.

I’m sorry to hear about mark this just isn’t life anymore . My dad who was 59 years of age at the time was taken into hospital two or 3 days later he was put in itu and a day later he was put into a coma with corona , diabetes, heart conditions and more ofc me and my family were preparing for the worst and time went on he eventually came out of the coma well but all we could do was hope for the best and 140 days of him in hospital he Managed to pull threw by a miracle but Ik in most cases it hasn’t been this way so I hope at the hard time of marks grieving is all ok

hello mr wood have you considered having all your metal work on your seat box ie legs frame re anodised back to new what ever colour you want they should be companies in south yorkshire that specialize sorry to hear of your loss mark oneal am sure you will win mark a match one of these days ( keep baggin)
