A LOT of these newer bands as well...just to get attention and show off sometimes, which is dumb. Destroy Erase Improve has so many heavy riffs: Transfixion, Inside What's Within Behind, Terminal Illusions etc. But the heaviest, most technical song in my opinion is Paralyzing Ignorance from Contradictions Collapse. Little bit thrashy but my god was it heavy back then, still goes hard in my opinion

I remember when I first heard Meshuggah, it was when I randomly got Catch Thirtythree and listened to the entire album because of the way the album was, you couldn't just listen to one song, you had to listen to the whole album as if it was one long track telling an entire story and I loved it~❤

8 years back. When i first discovered meshuggah, i despised that the riffs sounded so low that i cant even hear a thing, and the riff really looked easy and really simple to play. Little did i know that i was a fool, the complexity was in the picking hand, time signatures, tempo changing and writing. Now that my music taste/ears has matured i felt really ashamed for bitching meshuggah years ago. Ive listened all meshuggah's album these past weeks and i was blowned away of how amazing their musicality talent are
