I once made a pretty decently large satellite and somehow got it into orbit. It was just a large satellite sitting on top of 2 docking things attached to 1 layer of structural blocks and 7 engines under it. It defies physics, but, it worked.

You can adjust the orbital trajectory, I'm sure there are tutorials. Basically, to get the opposite part of the orbit higher, thrust in the direction you're orbiting. To get the opposite part lower, thrust in opposite direction of your orbit.

Help required. I'm having a small issue I can't figure out. I decided to make my own little STARLINK constellation of satellites on a circular orbit equally spaced apart, however for some reason the orbits of my satellites keep decaying. I can't figure out why. Has anybody got any ideas.

maybe youre orbit is off did it say youve reached earths low orbit? if yes then activate a thruster with thrust on about 5% and adjust it every now and then when playing

@@yeetmeouttheroofredacted5027 yes, I was placing them in a circular orbit exactly 120.0km by 120.0km yet they seemed to very quickly degrade. I was also trying to launch them all from the same rocket, undocking them one at a time in my desired positions. I have since scrapped that constellation. I made a slightly simpler design of satellite (the original design was already very simple) and tried again however I've launch one satellite at a time only. This time they maintain their orbit perfectly but eventually the spacing between them lessens so I need to some how equalise their speeds to prevent this.
However, since update 1.52 everthing has gone a bit wrong. As well as the satellites I had a rather complex and impressive space station (if I do say so myself 😂). Since the update though, many of the parts have changed shape or simply disappeared altogether, leaving my space station looking like a random collection of unconnected parts floating in very close formation. Hopefully the next update will correct this. Thanks for your reply

Turn on the thruster and wait until you see the circle gets bigger, the circle you're seeing is the size of an orbiting object you want to orbit around earth
Calculate the size of the orbit, maybe try using RCS and go on to the right until the degree you're finding would be in perfect position,so the orbit would look the same, or just don't separate or waste your fuel, and just wait until you see the white dot (near in the actual measurement of orbit), go right behind it, and turn on the thruster again until you get the right orbit you want to
Except if you already launched a satellite, you would cause a space crash, by hitting a two satellites each other, that would be a major problem
(This is why I'm addicted to watching NASA)
