Saw my shipping notification yesterday, saw this today, insta-click. If nothing else, this project is a great driver for channel views, hopefully. ;) Also, side note, great 3D print! I like that you used square holes instead of circular ones to account for shrinkage. I've done something similar with hexagonal holes that have ended up more or less round. I already have plans to try getting this working as an APRS cable for my FT-70D (a thing I've been working on for a while now, it's more complicated than it should be).

Once I tried to free hand solder one unit, I decided to go to the GitHub repo and just print 30 of the jigs for group by. I sort of rushed the video as I wanted to provide a visual update but had limited time. My apologies for any confusion. FWIW, I finally got my plugs attached. The 3D printed guide didn't hold together too well but what was left got the job done. So far as the serial port goes, I got old Chirp working just fine with my BTech UV-5x3. Next, to do a little APRS.

I think the Coffee and Ham Radio is doing a group buy on this. I got into that one. They are even looking at adding blue tooth to the hardware. I alwasy enjoy your videos.73
Love the 3D printed jig Sean. I'm looking to get a 3D printer I'd love to get your thoughts on the entry level machines. I seem to going for the Ender3 V.2. Any ideas Sean. Keep up the great work buddy.

Hello, you could use the b o m and get your own boards made directly through JLC PCB. Additionally there's some guy selling them for something like 30 bucks online. So sorry I can't provide them at cost anymore, but that's a bad business model 🤣

I was selling them at cost and unfortunately, I can only do that so many times before it's illogical to do it. There is a guy on the internet who will sell them for 25 bucks a pop though lol.
