Every time you show a playset, it makes me think of all the potential playsets we could have for modern toy lines but never get produced. A shame that playsets have really become a thing of the past.
"playsets have really become a thing of the past" Not quite. Hasbro still regularly produces playsets under their Playskool brand and Mattel does the same thing even more through Fisher-Price/Little People/Imaginext. The "problem" with these playsets is that they are strongly targeted at kids aged U-8, which heavily reflects on their designs, and adult collectors simply are not interested in them (save for a handful of exceptions). Hence it virtually seems to many like there aren't being any made at all which is, however, quite far from the truth. Also, collectors are often focused on 'traditional' action figures and compatible toylines, and they often forget that there exists stuff like Playmobil, Lego, Mega Bloks, Matchbox (owned by Mattel again), or you can try and google up "Spin Master playsets" or "Moose Toys playsets" or "Schleich playsets" and you will be positively surprised. And I did not even mention here all the toylines aimed primarily at girls . . . . . . 🙂
Collection is in great condition here, nice going. Not easy to find them in such good shape. Disappointing that McDonald's mostly abandoned their famous characters of the past, but most of all, the famous clown Ronald. McDonald's is facing some tough times in Fall 2024 with their food safety as you may have heard.
@@OpenByChance Very good point. These days, it looks like a Starbucks or Office Building instead of a restaurant in my opinion in 2024. They're trying to inspire new customers I suppose.
This set is so beautiful. I have seen it in your streams here and there, but never up and close. I am in love with these. Thank you for sharing and educating me, as always.
Those are cool figures. Never had any of these, but did want some when I was younger. I could see someone like Jada picking up fast food licenses to go along with their product people.
Awesome video! I have the complete set of figures, and I HAD the playset as a tiny child....I need to be reunited with it. I'm going to have to track one down. These are incredibly well-made, excellent figures that definitely bring back a happier time (especially in the history of McDonald's)!
Question I had David is why not open the box and set it all up?. Its just being hiding inside for what? Are you going to sell it some day so you want to keep it mint. If Not why not enjoy it and set it up so people can enjoy it the way it was meant to be. Iam so sick of these damn collectors who just get an item and store it away never unboxing it. Makes no sense unless you want too sell it. If you do it for the LOVE of it then why not open it up enjoy ut rather then hiding it
Amazing collection 💪😎

Just too costly now, unless someone does a crowdfund...

The McDonalds we grew up with is long gone...

Damn!! All of a sudden, out of the blue, I'd go for a double-decker cheeseburger of theirs. 😀
There you go!

One of my favorite lines, Remco really did a great job with it.
