- At this cellar hole out in the woods the ground had been shifted and the relics where kind of all over the place. Loggers turned up the ground and moved things around so I returned for some metal detecting. Old 1700s and 1800s clothing buttons were found in the ground in kind of an odd area way out back of this old deserted farm. I had walked around for a bit and jumped this rock wall and started hearing signals on my detector. Sometimes you have to do a bit of exploring and read the landscape history to find the old stuff.
