- Hey everyone, in this video I'm sharing my experience with my third c diff infection and testing positive for the 027/NAP1/BI strain and what this means for me. I'll be posting more updates as I find out more from my gastroenterologist and my infectious disease doctor.

How are you feeling now? I'm sorry you are going through this.
I'm one year out and my stools are wild. They are still all over the place. I tested negative for pcr/toxins four times....guessing it's pi-ibs but it's such a bummer to not feel the same after. Stay strong!
Depends on your state, but if you have more than 4 relapses you should qualify for FMT. They may start with Fidaxomicin and it's very expensive. I have been dealing with it since 2019 and I had two relapses. My post-infection IBS is not getting better, since I had my first C diff episode. I can feel your pain and frustration, especially not finding information online. And I'm in my late 30s with no underlining diseases. Additionally, they may do the taper as well, where they give you vancomycin for over 40 days and your dr will explain it for you. this disease is very contagious you should be very careful with bathroom especially at work!. And Yes I had diverticulitis as well after my c diff.
I was diagnosed with c diff 2 weeks ago...took about a week and a half on meds before I saw an improvement...still not back to 100% normal but getting better...i thought it was just a colitis flare up but the constant lower abdomen pain and going to the bathroom once an hour got old real quick...hope you are doing better...
I first had C diff in December of 2019 and so far I have had two relapses, the last one was this January. C diff is horrible, but it is not the main problem, the problem is post-infectious IBS that sometimes you get after C diff. It's not getting better, and sometimes it could last for years. I'm a young and very healthy person with no underlining diseases. I'm not saying it could happen to you, but there is always a chance.
