There will be more injuries to the team, and the schedule is really tough.
@@christopherluebke8388 no way. When you watch the replays from behind Darnold, the routes by the receivers take a long time to get down field so a QB has to have time to throw. Darnold had that time for the most part all season long and was great. The last 2 games, he rarely had time to get the ball downfield.
OL was fine. Darnold had a lot of time to throw. There were answers to the blitz with open receivers sitting in the vacated zones. There were checkdowns. There were opportunities to throw the ball away. Darnold was simply late. He was slow to read. Slow to release. The windows were closed by the time he got to them. On only a handful of plays did he finish his drop back and fire the football. Most tines, he appeared to only start reading the field at that pont, 1-2 seconds into the play. He was slow and couldn’t see the field. Clearly, these playoff games were too big for Darnold.

This. Give up play calling. Dude just doesn't have the right mind set for a poor O-line, NO ADJUSTMENTS. Dude doesn't switch it up at all. He finally threw in some random play with Justin in the backfield. So pathetic. For me I'm throwing non stop short passes, screens, slants, quick come back routes.
Although I don’t disagree with your suggestions, I think just the swap from Darnold to JJM will improve playoff chances. The difference between clutch and not clutch cannot be overstated. And the $28M from no more Cousins dead cap can also get an IOL and CB in free agency which will certainly help the team.
@@new2POOL208please try not to pretend like KOC didn’t call loads of short passes that Sam just decided not to throw. He didn’t even throw it to JJ on a screen that was full of blockers and missed Aaron Jones on a different screen.
So real. When I saw all the Viking fans talk shit about the packers losing to Philly I facepalmed because I knew we were next. Hell, our ass got kicked worse than Green Bay and we played against an arguably weaker team when you compare the Rams to the Eagles.
The last two games it felt like every replay of a sack or incomplete pass, darnold missed a wide open guy where he just looked at the guy and didn’t throw it or waited till he was covered. Just ridiculous.
I've said since day 1 that we'll never reach the promised land with Darnold at QB, because he holds the ball forever. He does it every passing play of every game, and you can see the result in the 9 sacks he took today. And the best offensive line in the world can't protect a QB who thinks he can hold on to the ball for 7 or 8 seconds.
The Rams repeated what the Lions did and we didn't adjust. I was timing Sam in the first and second quarter and he was hanging on to the ball for about 6 seconds and with no pressure awareness until it was too late. He can't throw it away and takes the sack. KOC should have sat him for a series and seen if Mullens had anything. Blitzing Stafford isn't advised either all the time. We don't really run the ball and KOC is hooked on the long ball. Sam was doing his best impression of statue Kirk Cousins there until he started moving in the 4th but it was too little and too late. But unfortunately, we fold when the lights are bright. Even Manning, Payton, and Bill Belichick were saying "Throw the ball Darnold" screens, slants etc. Quite going for the long ball. I was wondering what KOC was going to do to not let what the Lions did and we did the same thing! Sam was throwing behind players but Hockenson managed to hang on, same with Nailer. Are slants and quick-hitting passes not in the KOCs playbook? Our defense had some problems but they held the Rams to 20 points. In the back of Vikings fan's head, we knew deep down we were going to have trouble advancing. No TDs in the last 7 quarters. That is horrible. Stafford should have been called for grounding as he threw that ball out with his head down and that weak ball push.

@@new2POOL208This is a terrible take. There were answers to the Rams defense. Darnold simply couldn’t find them. When he did, he was usually late or misfired. When the QB is behind his progressions, the windows close down in the NFL. QB play is all about timing. Plenty of wide open receivers (hock behind the blitzer, Jones in the flat, Jets on the screen, Oliver on the hitch. Nailor on the dig, Addison on the slant) that Darnold didn’t see or got to too late. And there were plenty of opportunities for him to throw the damn ball away. Dsrnold completely choked. Both games.
BEFORE THE FUMBLE TOUCHDOWN, Darnold is panicking and the play clock is running down there is clear confusion. Its the first half why would KOC not intervene and call timeout? That literally was the turning point of the game
I speculate the troubles officially began when the Vikings lost their second Superbowl, exactly 50 years before this game, on January 13th 1974. In that game the Dolphins were up 14-0 at the end of the first, and 24-0 in the fourth before the Vikings got a garbage time TD. Charlie Pride sang the national anthem.
Really it was the next year against the Steelers that sealed their fate,,the dolphins were the better team,,,but Steelers weren’t..but I get what you’re saying……
Leslie, I think it was partly because when they played the Lions they played their heart out and they knew they would not be able to beat them when they faced him again so they were like partly weren’t trying hard because they were like go to Cancun early
What are you smoking? He turned chicken shit into chicken salad. He extracted the most possible from the roster. That is coaching. That squad would be even better with a shutdown CB, but so would any defense in the NFL. Top 5 defense in the NFL despite DBs not being talented enough for man coverage and “fans” want to fire the DC. Have you already forgotten Donashell? Be careful what you wish for. SMH
Well, it would be with JJM at QB, so I’d be confident that Vikes win the Superbowl. He almost never lost in HS or college. If the Vikings went 17-0, then I’d be convinced we had drafted the next elite QB.
It’s the story of my total existence ever since I started watching the Vikings. They bring you up just for the giant letdown. The last two losses were completely ridiculous and exposed how lucky they had been the rest of the season
There's only one takeaway from this game. It was another embarrassing quick exit for a semi-cursed franchise. I've watched them for 55 of my 65 years. I'm now leaning towards no trophy in my lifetime. And I expect to live to 90. So there ya go. See ya next year maybe. Take care y'all. 😐
Very frustrated by the result last night. But have really enjoyed this season and your channel is legit one of my favourite tv shows. Looking forward to building back better and believing again next year!
I knew there was a problem when they hoisted Darnold after the Packer game after the Packers game. Reminded me of the team after the Minneapolis Miracle. Just blew their wad 😞
Yeah, even with limited exposure, there's no way JJ McCarthy misses all the throws that Darnold should have made easily. The missed touchdown to Addison in the Detroit game, the refusal to throw to an open Jefferson on a screen this game, and many others in the last 8 quarters. It's like someone stole Darnold's eye contacts. He just lost sight.
Can’t be drinking the purple kool aid all the time, sometimes you gotta call a spade a spade. Never gonna believe a single word this man says from now on. We could be playing the prime patriots and this guy would make everyone believe we would beat them. Such a crock of shit, I don’t think you realize the state this team represents and their past history. Say what you want but sometimes history is history
Not necessarily lol, look at the browns and lions. They’ve never even made a Super Bowl appearance and they have been around for a lot longer than the Vikings have.
Also, they were great all year, not wrong. History has nothing to do with random acts. there are only patterns when certain people stay too long without change. Eventually it's going to happen I may be un living, but some day
@@new2POOL208 I can truly say that the Lions will either not win or even appear in the Super Bowl this year. I am just saying that for the foreseeable future the Vikings are not becoming sudden Super Bowl contenders. For some teams in other sports it has taken around or over 100 years of existence to win there 1st championship.
Just woke up (Europe ftw), so I thankfully didn't watch the game. Things I learned this season: - KOC is a good HC, but a poor playcaller - Darnold has the talent, but not the mentality for big games. Bring him back to start next season, same contract, then it's all JJ after 2-4 games. - Following the Vikings is like being in an abusive relationship... - Last two games were like a written exam, and the Vikings not only failed to answer a single question, they misspelled their name. nimsota kinvings
I have said the same thing about following the Vikings being like an abusive relationship! I have been less serious about them the last several years. But, I can’t quite get away from them. Every year I get talked into taking them back. . . and this happens. 😫
KOC doesn't adjust. It's as simple as that. Ultimately, it's the coach's responsibility to scheme around deficiencies in the QB and O-line, not continually expose them
The Vikings didn't play well but I could see how the game was going to go as soon as that ridiculous fumble/ intentional grounding non call happened. Looks like the Rams are going to get the Saints 09 treatment this playoffs.

No short passes all long developing B.S GRRR 😣😖
Both games.
It hurts so bad. 😭 hopefully JJ McCarthy is the answer. Everyone was afraid of the Vikings again and we blew it.
BEFORE THE FUMBLE TOUCHDOWN, Darnold is panicking and the play clock is running down there is clear confusion.
Its the first half why would KOC not intervene and call timeout? That literally was the turning point of the game
YEP
I speculate the troubles officially began when the Vikings lost their second Superbowl, exactly 50 years before this game, on January 13th 1974. In that game the Dolphins were up 14-0 at the end of the first, and 24-0 in the fourth before the Vikings got a garbage time TD. Charlie Pride sang the national anthem.
Really it was the next year against the Steelers that sealed their fate,,the dolphins were the better team,,,but Steelers weren’t..but I get what you’re saying……
JJ McCarthy will finally get his shot now. Feel for you guys have lived in Cleveland for a long time so I know how losing feels.
Not a fan of Troy A, but he didn’t play tonight. All former players now announcers are over the top.
Crazy him and buck are the best team by a mile
Leslie, I think it was partly because when they played the Lions they played their heart out and they knew they would not be able to beat them when they faced him again so they were like partly weren’t trying hard because they were like go to Cancun early
at the end of the day, the vikings were just playing around with darnold the whole season, im not really that mad
Brian Flores can go. Without an elite DB his crazy blitz scheme will not work against high power offense.
It smoked the defense, too much running. Number 2 couldn't do it they need more CB's
SMH
Either the game and pressure was too big for Darnold.. or he literally threw the game away. Just embarrassing
We could win 17 games next year and I wouldn’t feel confident in the playoffs
Well, it would be with JJM at QB, so I’d be confident that Vikes win the Superbowl. He almost never lost in HS or college. If the Vikings went 17-0, then I’d be convinced we had drafted the next elite QB.
Almost 58 years old and a life long Viking fan, and I feel like Charlie Brown once again. We’re never gonna kick that ball.
Rooting for the Commanders in the NFC and Bills/Ravens in The AFC
If KOC works on his quick passing play calls he’ll be aight, tryna get 15+ yards every pass play aint it
It’s the story of my total existence ever since I started watching the Vikings.
KOC got sonned by McVay.
McVay will get sonned by the Eagles again.
great cap space for Minnesota, beef up the o-line like Detroit, Philly, KC, Buffalo. The trenches matter so much and we saw that tonight
JJ ISNT GONNA HELP THIS SORRY ASS TEAM
I knew there was a problem when they hoisted Darnold after the Packer game after the Packers game. Reminded me of the team after the Minneapolis Miracle. Just blew their wad 😞
Yeah, even with limited exposure, there's no way JJ McCarthy misses all the throws that Darnold should have made easily. The missed touchdown to Addison in the Detroit game, the refusal to throw to an open Jefferson on a screen this game, and many others in the last 8 quarters. It's like someone stole Darnold's eye contacts. He just lost sight.
Fix the interior OLine even if this loss is because of KOC and Darnold.
Both Darnold and koc lost enough money these past two weeks I could retire
Can’t be drinking the purple kool aid all the time, sometimes you gotta call a spade a spade. Never gonna believe a single word this man says from now on. We could be playing the prime patriots and this guy would make everyone believe we would beat them. Such a crock of shit, I don’t think you realize the state this team represents and their past history. Say what you want but sometimes history is history
Hmmm? Every team will eventually win a Superbowl, its inevitable as long as there's an NFL.
LA is burning to the ground. NFL will rig it for the rams like they did with the saints when Katrina hit.
When does the rigging start? 😂 LA was just better.
Just woke up (Europe ftw), so I thankfully didn't watch the game.
Things I learned this season:
- KOC is a good HC, but a poor playcaller
- Darnold has the talent, but not the mentality for big games.
I also woke up in Europe, thank goodness I did not wake up to watch the game.
This coach literally threw the game away and gave it on a silver plater to the Rams when he didn't punt before halftime how can anyone be that incredibly idiotic.
KOC is a choker over 3 years. That is not even debatable...
💯 biggest choke artist of all time. Got whipped by the Giants and got whipped by his master Sean McVay 😆 dude is the most overrated garbage HC of all time.
Rams had no destiny Vikings just played like the Vikings lmao
Build the line for JJ. Find a RB.
14 wins is equally as impressive as itnis UNIMPRESSIVE not scoring a TD in 8 final quarters.
And frankly the latter is horrible.
KOC has yet to win 1 playoff game..that's gunna be the story all off-season. My heart is with the Hitman. Great player, great career, better human
14 wins is superb, but what we've seen of the balance of play, the mighty purple are about the 10th best team in the NFL. The schedule went well for us, but come the crunch, not elite enough for a run at the Superb Owl
KOC choked the rooster
For the love of God fix our offensive line next year. Until then, we are one and done.
14 wins just means we don’t get a high draft pick.
Yeah, they need two things I think in that draft. Offensive line and a true RB1. move on to CB's
This is why you dont settle for a average QB like Sammy and Kirko. JJ Mccarthy era starts.
And you know for a fact that McCarthy is better than average?
Not necessarily but don’t we want to find out?
What if the strip 6 isn’t overturned and what if we block that punt… missed opportunities.
Im devastated from this L but more happy for the ppl of cali esp LA they deserve this up lifting W ! Skol ! JJ Mac We Ready !!!
Dude fuck Cali.. they voted for those people and them stupid fucking policies that burned them. But being from California originally. Once I saw the city was on fire and all that nonsense and the game got switched over I knew the league would not let them lose its the feel-good fucking story.
Can't wait for Darrisaw and Blackman to return next year. We need younger DBs as much as Gilmore and Shaq are too old we need to be able to play man sometimes
Yep, the Vikings peed in they're own corn flakes!
I saw this coming. I was hoping for a win.
I was wrong.
Saw this same thing coming.
Get the interior O-Line and NT taken care of. Bring on McCarthy. See y’all next year. SKOL4LIFE
I spent $600 bucks to watch Darnold Choke.
Nine QB sacks.
Let’s us miss a game winning kick like we’re supposed to got me so bad because it’s true 😂🤦🏽♂️
Josh Freeman is now off the hook so is Ponder after this meltdown
I'm not really sure how you can say Darnold didn't turn back into a pumpkin. He was David S. Pumpkins out there the last 2 weeks. Not getting the ball out on time, running backwards, etc. KOC didn't help, but not much you can do with your QB playing like that.
he could have benched him
@hodaka175 Eh, not worth going to Mullens at this point
