To me, I'd rather get this than the other fujicron f2 street lenses... versatile focal length and uses for street, macro, travel, etc
Except it’s a full stop slower. So I’ll have both
@@GrandHuevotes if you're needing that extra stop, but most of these situations don't need to be wide open anyway. If DOF is important, the close focusing allows you to blow out the background even at this aperture

i am heavily thinking about this lens because: perfect for my wedding photography macro shots - very versatile focal length for general shots (45mm full frame) - lightweight - i can finnaly do macro nature again - sounds like super perfect all around lens

Wow, this is that new it's hard to find a review about it. It is priced @ £599.00 in the UK. But they will bring the price down a tad (I Hope).
Looks cool, love the fact that we have AF, but sometimes I just wonder what lenses we could get if there was no IS or no AF. Just a classic manual Lens. Imagine, 100/300$ for an amazing quality, 12/300mm f 1.2-4 . I know, i get too far with my imagination, but you get the idea :) I'm not lens engineer
For $100, you can get the TT Artisan 40F2.8 Macro. The sharpness of that len is insane, but it's hard to focus correctly since the DOF is so narrow.

This looks like a really cool piece of optics, but the claims made at 1:55 are misleading and wrong. DOF at a given magnification will be the same irrespective of the focal length used. So stacking is not easier with a 30mm macro lens vs a longer macro lens. It would be great if this could be corrected...
