This was the first BTS wedding film I've watched! This was super insightful and educational. Almost felt like I was there and learning on hand, in field. Thanks for the effort that goes in to these. 👌🏼
Love where your heads at with shooting with one lens/camera/handheld/ and changing equipment less. This is a great mind set and will make the day run much smoother whilst simultaneously making your life easier. Great method Kraig, this is the future of wedding films 👍
Its amazing how the most subtle thing, just makes that one tiny clip so much more. I'm always looking for candid moments when doing photography, its why I cover live bands a lot, never know whats going to happen. Might even find the same thing with a wedding even while its structured.
Great to see a real wedding, with all the attention on getting it right, with all the surprises along the way. Especially like your gimbal walk, smoother than Michael J!
I'm shooting my first wedding this Saturday and I just wanted to say thank you for these behind the scenes videos! Definitely helps with my nerves and builds confidence.
That's pretty awesome and helpful, Kraig! I'm getting more and more confident for shooting my first weeding with your tips, gear recommendations, and stuff! Thanks a lot! Greetings from Russia. ✌️
I see a lot of shoot & scoot and yet your finished products look perfect in terms of exposure and color. Would love to see some detail on camera settings; frame rate, shutter speed, etc. What auto settings; white balance, ISO?
Seem like you shoot wide open many times. Cant see that you are using any ND, so do you use crank up the shutter speed ? Cause its seems like there is tons of natural light from the windows :) Whats your max?
Hi Kraig. I love your work, and thanks for sharing your wonderful videos. Please, two questioms. That's a Benro Monopod? or Manfrotto. Why you don't mount ND filters on your lens in outdoors? You don't need it? Thanks a lot.
Miss you Kraig! You said you don’t care about shutter speeds as I noticed at one point you were shooting at 1/640. From my understanding you should shoot double your frame rate. EG: 24FPS= 50 shutter speed. I know your shooting wide open at F1.8 so are you relying on your shutter speeds to help control the light. Will that not affect the motion in the footage?
Very very kind of you . Brilliant video piece. May I ask which monopod you use? Looks handy ! I / we await more videos. I'm a fan of your content & style . Cheers. Davey
Hi Kreig, did you shoot this wedding with pp8? it does not look like it so just wanted to ask. i am new in this video area i i have a6500 tried pp8 but its so flat and colors looks washed out but in one of your video you said about that pp8 is best ... by the way Great and helpful videos!
This was the first wedding I tested the Zhiyun 3-Axis gimbal geni.us/CWigD3 and it is now my favorite thing ever (100000x better than a Ronin for weddings)
Figured you would! Its an amazing piece of kit, Even the slider shot comparison you did kind of makes the slider redundant, very little difference. Can pretty much do the entire day on it
Hi Bro, i just to ask. What gimbal did you use? That looks compact, and you are using A7 series on it right? What lens is it? Looking for your repsonse bro.. thank you...
Hello! Would you be open to sharing your process for backing up your footage from the start of the day to the end? Do you keep everything on it's cards until you dump them in numerous places? Or do you dump footage as you go on? I have not been able to find a flawless process when it comes to transferring footage! HELP :)
Hallo Kraig!!! Very Nice canal for me! Respect for your experience and talent! I have question for you. how many frames per second you used on this nice shot in 42:40 second. Greetings. Karol from Poland

Cool video, nice BTS! I did a similar video for some cosplayers in Tokyo where they dressed up as Batman and Catwoman. Lots of running and gunning and I'm typically a photog, not a videog. lol It's nice to see you shoot in your natural habitat.
1:18:00 best tips to interact with a DJ and tell him exactly what you need to pull audio from his board. also sounds less intrusive when you let them know you just need a feed.
need help. i'm on a tight budget. i shoot weddings. Will the autofocus be fast enought to focus and capture the moments in low light during wedding ceremony using nikkor 24-85mm f/2.8-4D IF?
Love the way this was shot and edited. Easy to follow and very thorough. Especially appreciate the picture on picture shots. Great job!!!

THANK DANNY

Really useful Kraig. Cheers for the insights. These BTS vids are a game changer.
Shooting slightly up on the Zhiyun makes for a massively better shot.
Let the man dance Kraig!! LMBOOOO!! "just get ready for the speeches"....LOL

I see a lot of shoot & scoot and yet your finished products look perfect in terms of exposure and color. Would love to see some detail on camera settings; frame rate, shutter speed, etc. What auto settings; white balance, ISO?
Very helpful video! Thanks a lot!!! Is it true that you don't use nd filters?
Seem like you shoot wide open many times. Cant see that you are using any ND, so do you use crank up the shutter speed ? Cause its seems like there is tons of natural light from the windows :) Whats your max?
Hi Kraig.
I love your work, and thanks for sharing your wonderful videos.
Please, two questioms.
That's a Benro Monopod? or Manfrotto.
Why you don't mount ND filters on your lens in outdoors? You don't need it?
Thanks a lot.
Great job Kraig. What light were you using at the reception. Was it necessary using the Sony a7sii with its low light capabilities?
Miss you Kraig! You said you don’t care about shutter speeds as I noticed at one point you were shooting at 1/640. From my understanding you should shoot double your frame rate. EG: 24FPS= 50 shutter speed. I know your shooting wide open at F1.8 so are you relying on your shutter speeds to help control the light. Will that not affect the motion in the footage?
Hey Kraig. What's the day rate you typically pay your second shooter?
please keep producing these videos, i adore them!
Setting the timeline as a background is fucking genius.
Not one but TWO "For those of you that don't know me" - classic!
Oh snap Danny! Went to Film School with him.
-Fernando.
Very very kind of you . Brilliant video piece. May I ask which monopod you use? Looks handy !

You're not using your slider anymore or are you trying to change shooting style with more handheld camera work ?
Since this vid, what has changed in your setup? Smaller fluid heads right? Anything else?

This was the first wedding I tested the Zhiyun 3-Axis gimbal geni.us/CWigD3 and it is now my favorite thing ever (100000x better than a Ronin for weddings)
noticed you shot a ton with it at the ceremony and onwards, you planning on doing that of future weddings or was it simply a test?
Figured you would! Its an amazing piece of kit, Even the slider shot comparison you did kind of makes the slider redundant, very little difference. Can pretty much do the entire day on it

How well does your second shooter take direction and are you pleased with what he captured?
thanks for share your work, which picture style is using for your wedding films ?
Kraig uses Autumn Leaves with contrast down 3 I recall from another BTS
Are the shots in the PIP stabilized? Seems very smooth for being handheld 24p :)

Are you using autofocus for most of the Crane shots? Would love to know your AF settings on this.
Hi Kraig, why you don't shoot weedings in s-log?
Lovely stuff!!! Thanks for picture in picture edit :-)
Do you offer a slightly discount price if you're allowed to film a BTS video for UA-cam?
I enjoyed watching your bts wedding video than the actual wedding one haha
