Seriously I’m crying. The horses who need rescued pulls on my heart heavily. My best friend has a horse and I can’t imagine r the stress of something g like this happening and being so worried about her horses safety.
The news is asking people to stop bringing clothes & shoes at this point. It’s overwhelming, they need toiletries/animal food. But they’re asking no more clothing. Maybe think about unconventional stuff people need right now - like laundry detergent, wet wipes, phone chargers
Kari is such a sweetheart, she's always so grounded, natural, genuine, and in tune with real life. I love when she makes an appearance in the vlogs. She's the best friend we all need. Stay safe ladies, stay together, keep your phones charged & on you. Have a safe trip and keep us updated, so we know you're ok. **The emergency kits were super, they'll appreciate them so much. The female kits were fab, you thought of everything, from hair ties to period products. Amazing !!!! xxx

It is quite interesting isn’t it.. that sooo many are donating to the la fires that they are turning away donations.. while hurricane victims still need a lot of help that they never got!! I’m so sorry 😞 And not saying one deserves the help more but all I keep hearing is how little help the hurricane victims got..

As someone who lost their home to a fire Christmas day 2022 I cannot explain how much it means when someone helps. Our home still isn’t finished and the trauma alone is hard but to have lost everything, our furbabies, the things my boys made over the years…its a lot. So, thank you for helping these people and furbabies.

As a Californian I thank you and Carrie and your families so much! I watch you all the time and love your huge hearts but never comment. I am not in the fire zone but as a resident of the north state I have been thru my share of evacuations. When you leave your home for the day, you are not thinking of fire out breaks and it is devastating when you are unable to get back to your homes to get your pets out of danger. Thank you guys the community of Altadena is really in need. Altadena was one of the first communities that was affected by redlining back then and African Americans and latinos were able to own their homes first the first time and the community just lost everything. it was more than just a home and memories it is part of our history and story. So if you can look into it, alot of people will be trying to rebuild homes and each others homes.
Since I started watching your videos my mindset changed completely. It is not that I wasn't a good person, but I didn't use to do anything to help others. Nowadays, I have this thing that you did on one of your videos where you said something like "my good action of the day" and now I always do that :) By this, I want to say that you are helping others in sooo many ways and I am proud of being part of this community. Thank you for coming to LA, we really do need the help! We are stocked up on good for the community and we really do need help with the animals. Many animals have to get moved out of California just to make room for pets of people who lost their homes. It would be great if people could adopt animals that have been in shelters for awhile to make room for others

My inlaws lost their house and my husband and I had to evacuate. I think Kari what you are doing is very nice and generous of you,. As a person born in LA thank you for this. As a reminder high winds are a factor and they are back Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Kari last thing be careful driving in the canyon because these fires are very unpredictable.

I am in Australia and our news channels here all have very comprehensive coverage of the fires in LA. We get a lot of world news as well as local. My hearts go out to the people who have lost their family members, homes and pets in the fires. In Australia we go through similar fires somewhere most summers and have had devastating fires over the years with hundreds killed so we are very aware of the horror of mass fires. We currently have major fires in an area called the Grampians. Our government has announced that Australia has firefighters ready to go to LA if required and assist with the fire fighting. Have a safe trip. It is wonderful you are going to help people in their time of need.
Easy to eat prepackaged snacks are huge for firefighters. Think protein bars, jerky, protein drinks. They also really enjoy the random sweet treats. Praying for you as you head to California to help those in need. Thank you!

I saw an interview of a young couple who not only lost their home and all their possessions.Through her sobs the mom said they lost every memory they had of their little girl, her ashes, photos, clothing. All traces of her were gone. It broke my heart listening to that interview. 😢

I’m a few miles away from the fires, safe. We only had the aftermath…. Ashes and smoke. Today 1/14 sky is looking better but we still wear our masks! Thanks you ladies for THIS! I've been watching the news and yesterday a lady was saying about her disabled son told her to leave him ,and she went to get help but the fire had got there b4 they could save him! I can't comprehend how that poor lady is feeling 😞! if you guys have the funds, donating to the shelters like Pasadena Humane would be a huge help. they need funds to help cover costs of medical treatment for both pets and wild animals.
I heard about that, I can’t imagine how scary it must have been so scary for that guy.. there was also a father who had one arm amputated (idk when) but he and his son who had cerebral palsy both died in their home because they couldn’t get out

But I have a 3 month old and a toddler , 7 , 9 , 11 , 14 and 15 year old and really struggling to keep them fed with the high cost of groceries these days, but I will keep you, the evacuees and fire fighters in my prayers. That's free, and something I can do while rocking my baby.

I'm so glad that Kerrie is in touch with folks who are actively working the front lines of this fight. There is nothing like going through a natural disaster and needing basics only to find mountains of donated clothing in heaps outside in the rain because well intentioned people decided it was a good time to 'donate' their used clothing that a.) no one had space to warehouse and b.) weren't suitable for people living hand to mouth and day to day to use. This effort you're making will make so much difference because the focus is on basics and essentials and beyond that, money that people need to get whatever their unique situation requires. I think your area church authorities will have a breakdown of what’s needed. The LDS church is AMAZING at helping people having to go through natural disasters. They will know how and what to distribute. They ask for everyone to have 72 hour kits but I hadn’t thought of donating mine but that’s a great idea!

I've been watching the news and yesterday a lady was saying about her disabled son told her to leave him ,and she went to get help but the fire had got there b4 they could save him! I can't comprehend how that poor lady is feeling 😞! I wish I could come help ,I'm a horse person n could be helpful! ots soo frustrating watching it on TV here in the UK 🇬🇧. bless everyone helping ,and please stay safe! totally respect too you all xxxxx

if you guys have the funds, donating to the shelters like Pasadena Humane would be a huge help. they need funds to help cover costs of medical treatment for both pets and wild animals.
I heard about that, I can’t imagine how scary it must have been so scary for that guy.. there was also a father who had one arm amputated (idk when) but he and his son who had cerebral palsy both died in their home because they couldn’t get out

As you stated your kids know what it's like to lose things, so them turning around to give just a little dignity back to the evacuees is a giant sign you are all doing things right.

But I have a 3 month old and a toddler , 7 , 9 , 11 , 14 and 15 year old and really struggling to keep them fed with the high cost of groceries these days, but I will keep you, the evacuees and fire fighters in my prayers. That's free, and something I can do while rocking my baby.

I'm so glad that Kerrie is in touch with folks who are actively working the front lines of this fight. There is nothing like going through a natural disaster and needing basics only to find mountains of donated clothing in heaps outside in the rain because well intentioned people decided it was a good time to 'donate' their used clothing that a.) no one had space to warehouse and b.) weren't suitable for people living hand to mouth and day to day to use. This effort you're making will make so much difference because the focus is on basics and essentials and beyond that, money that people need to get whatever their unique situation requires. Thank you all so much for all you are doing to support those in need. Blessings and prayers for your safety and for those whose lives are touched by your generosity.

I think your area church authorities will have a breakdown of what’s needed. The LDS church is AMAZING at helping people having to go through natural disasters. They will know how and what to distribute. They ask for everyone to have 72 hour kits but I hadn’t thought of donating mine but that’s a great idea!
