Fantastic show. It was actually my research into Scientology that brought me out of Mormonism, when I saw the parallels... Look into the research of Larry Gaiters and the connection of Scientology and the Nation of Islam.
Don't ask questions, just go with the flow of information given to you and you will ascend up the bridge to godhood, so says Mormonism and Scientology each in it's own unique way, trapping many people into thoughtlessness.

At 2:50 Like John says, humans thru millennia have just wanted to feel good and have answers to life’s many confounding mysteries. Unfortunately that’s exactly why some people are so susceptible to quackery, conmen and religious fundamentalism. Once I became comfortable with ambiguity I felt so much more at peace. I love Science and asking questions and I don’t believe that one human being or any religion has the market cornered on what my life should look like. Growing up in Mormonism I was assured of having all the answers about the will of god and my “salvation.” A very in the box and closed off system. I much prefer the mystery. The transcendent/spiritual feelings I have felt in my life have all been thru pondering the mysteries of life and not from the certitude and fundamentalist views of Mormonism. As a side note shortly after leaving the Mormon church I did walk into a Scientology “office” in Santa Barbara California. I saw the book Dianetics in the window and my curiosity was piqued. I walked out shortly after and thought- Good gosh- I just left one mind control religion I certainly don’t need another!! Whew!!😅
I like what you said about ambiguity and exploring the mysteries of life. It is like being in the center of a spiritual balance beam, weighing what is essential to one's soul from what is not essential.
He's done videos on that topic. I know because he did the first one at the beginning of Protect LDS Children at my request and Chris was so nice about it.
It is amazing that a new mascara review from dolor store get a million view on tik tok and a video like this gets less than 9000 view in 3 years! What is wrong with our world?

Great series John. Chris is great and thrilling speaker. Hello from Australia.
The similarities are indeed profound. It's like the Devil sold franchises, and all you had to do was change the buzz words.

Kendal Weaver. Scientology is a little more shamelessly money focused , but yeah.

Great video! It's so important to hear and understand the commonalities of these evil religions that ruins people’s lives. Keep up the great work!
People are very desperate for meaning, wherever they can find it.
Bottom line, everyone must read about what happened to Lisa McPherson. Just google it
