    What a beautiful ute. Love the the look and sound of it. HK-T-G's are my favourite Holdens and had a few over the years. Still kicking myself for selling my HG Monaro for $650 back in the day. 😭😭😭

    Nice ride Dan. Keeping the body stock and the original benchy is the way to go for a "Sleeper". I hope you have a set of stock steel rims and caps for the old girl. 👍

    Call me old school, I hate car computers. So easy these days to use a modern HP Holley. (The ones with adjustable everything on them including air bleeds, 4 corner idle adjustment etc.) And a good quality A/F guage to tune it while on the road, like they do in America now. Don't even need a dyno any more.

    • @aussieshedtalk7811
      @aussieshedtalk7811  4 роки тому

      Agreed mate, the Holley carbs are set up great from the factory, all we did was played with jet sizes and played with idle.

    I had one , bought new ,liked the styling ok the trouble was in the build quality. The assembly lines of the day were shocking for quality control. I had at least a dozen faults under (12 month) warranty and probably as many that I didn’t find under warranty. Would have been a good Ute if it had been built properly. I later bought a well used XW Falcon Ute and it was a far better vehicle. Davox.

    Nothing wrong with a Carby mate
    as a matter of fact they atomise fuel better......
    as they draw in the temperature drops and cold air carries more fuel and depending on the overall set up it’s often the case that carbies make more Hp than fuel injection..... so don’t be fooled by that
    Not to mention they are basically analog around......
    so reliability factor is you don’t need a computer on hand to fix them up.....?!?!?
    Looks bloody magic good Onya
