Dating apps like Bumble are full of psychopathic crazy women, so you need to be careful about this. It’s a breeding ground for the rejected and jaded. It’s harder and harder to find good quality women on dating apps these days. Bumble is particularly bad because it’s a feminist dating app, so the women on Bumble are already upset with Tinder and the other apps and so they’re basically looking to get a man to submit to them.
Bumble is a crap shoot and a number’s game. Unfortunately, women on bumble are matching and dating with lots of other men too (that’s just the reality), so you have to be aware that this will happen and not put any faith in women unless they start making a real effort to date you and see you.

No trouble getting matches; but the matches are just so bad at having a conversation. It’s all about them, despite my engagement, they rarely ask questions, and the moment I stop leading the conversation it does because they’re hopeless at anything beyond their satisfying their ego. I stop putting effort in once I realise this. Women on these app… are on these apps for a good reason. Think about it.
My experience with online dating was no one can get anyone’s full attention. Especially in bigger metro areas. Everyone is getting messages from so many people and it’s hard for anyone to decide on who to focus on. Each time you login, there is more new people messaging you or responding to you. But all those people are experiencing that exact same thing, it’s like everyone is constantly distracted by someone new
The problem with dating apps amongst other things is that you can't convey tone on there. Even the average mid looking broad has 50 matches so your constantly trying to fight for her attention. It's just not worth it lol

50 matches??? Try like 2000 matches. You are way off. Create a tinder as an average girl and you will see. One girl that was an 8 out of 10 said she had 20,000 likes in 1 week.

Even before Covid, I met quite a few women on Tinder who used it as a prostitution platform. I’d say at least 4 women who do/ did full service sex work. I didn’t pay them or even meet them, except one who later asked me for money after we had sex and later refused to have sex unless I paid her. Prostitution is legal in my country so yeah, it’s very frustrating.

The best woman I currently know, the one I'm the most honestly attracted to and the only one I would see myself in a long term relationship with, is a woman I've known for several years, whom I used to sorta date that I reconnected with after my last failed LTR.

I doubt that will happen. Although I agree approaching women cold is great for their validation. Plus who knows if they're crazy. I work with the public so between co-workers and customers I see woman all day so that's one good thing about my job.

Broadly speaking you're right Chris, but not every person who has struggled to find a 'successful' relationship is 'broken', nor is every person in a successful relationship 'whole'. I really like your posts, generally, but I think there is an argument for subtlety, nuance and 'imagination' too. Many people struggle to 'know' who they are, and only find success in relationships much later in life. It's an unkindness to suggest that if one has failed, even repeatedly, one no longer has value. I realise you speak mostly to a younger audience and no problem with that. But I wonder what your relationships are like? It would be great to hear where you are in your life and whether you've found the love you've longed for. The deep psychological work often only begins in ones 40's. Just because we often f@#* up until then doesn't mean we're not full of possibility.
I think you also need to be in a good area. Make sure you’re around women as much as you can. That way, you won’t rely on dating apps as much and can approach women regularly.
I think it's fine to use dating apps and approach in person as well. Mine as well use all options at your disposal. Many women use dating apps now with the pandemic. I know a few couples who met their bf/gf on apps so I wouldn't swear them off. Just don't only use them as a crutch.

I've been pretty successful so far on them. I'm also a full time writer, so I might have an advantage I wouldn't otherwise have in person.
yeah I smash a lot on them. And I'm 48 and only 5'8". I get ghosted etc a lot as well. But I agree, I've not met one woman yet I actually fancy or want to get to know better.
Does Cold Approaching work? Like you have chance to project confidence.
Look for the signals (eye contact, smiling, orbiting). If you see the signs of attraction then approaching works
It's a shame because they are a great way to screen out woman who don't share your values and interests. It's even worse when you go on a religion based dating app and the woman still want a hot guy not build something with a guy who shares the same faith.
The religion doesn't guarantee success. You still need to establish some chemistry.
