@Chaanee 60hz (ntsc) -> 30fps and 50hz (pal) -> 25fps for tv. is a correlation between the electric signal and the analog broadcast television to be syncronized and can be shown in all tvs. in a pc you don't have a analog signal and the image is processed so you don't have restrictions.

You can get this at hundreds of pounds less than other retailers. A good idea is the google search site for your country - go there, and select Shopping in blue in the list at the top of the page. Type Sanyo Xactio HD2000 and you should get a choice of retailers with prices on that page itself.
Almost no camcorders seem to have "night vision" anymore*, after that silly scandal. The "low light" view seems okay from other videos, though? *do you know one that does, btw?

There is a jack plug socket for an external mic and head phones, I have not used them yet

Normally this happens when the camcorder uses too fast shutter speed. For 60p video it should use 1/120s or slower shutter not to show jumpines
