In one of the motorinc podcasts, shumi said that using a Dot5.1 brake fluid enhances the braking performance.
Has anyone tried this?

Sintered brake pads + Dot 5.1 fluid will make the feedback improve a lot more.

hmm, well i canceled my booking for Aprilia 457. To be honest , Do you think the switches, screws, paint job and other components which Aprilia Rs 457 is offering are of premium quality? Absolutely no. They could have easily got the better looking and durable ones like hexagon socket screws since italian brands are known for their designs and looks. Just to be relatable in market , Aprilia dropped a inferior quality product which is surely going to earn bad name for India in coming months And the moment you ride aprilia rs 457 you will understand that. A metal petrol tank was much needed too , so there are loads of such minor and major issues which made me to opt out and cancel the booking of this much hyped segment killer.

Switches and handlebar build quality are quite poor. The tiny flyscreen, and ugly pillion seat , which makes the tail section unusable too. Rider comfort should be paramount!. 17kmpl is really really bad for touring. Its a shame, for an otherwise great engine and chassis.
is this bike serviced and maintained properly? i dont think so, otherwise you would get a mileage of about 25 while touring like other owners are getting and atleast 20 upon riding hard.
Actually, the mileage claims from different people have been vastly different. Lowest I've seen is 15 kmpl and the highest I've seen is 30 kmpl (based on UA-cam videos). But I think a fair estimate will be 20 in city and 24 on highway IMO.
One small issue which people barely talk about is, there's no auto brightness for the instrument console, which is a small issue but very annoying.
Hey what about the racing brake pads u get as accecories do u think they will make the breaks go up to a 8 or so ??(Great quality video by the way loved everything about the video imformative short sweet no drag)

Dued.. I got 31.4 KMPL on highway ride. I drove for 632 KM and 31 is the average mileage I got. And in city I agree it is very less (Around 17 - 19 KMPL).

The Ninja 300 would be more comfortable for touring, and city riding. But it comes at the cost of horsepower.. still, 39Bhp is not bad at all.

@@kasukurthisreekarsidhartha1530 Ninja 300 is 4.6L on road in Bangalore, and RS457 is 5.2L on road bro. Ninja 300 is now locally manufactured so service cost has come down I think , just check bro.

Do you think this engine would be well suited for a Tuareg 457? Also any leaks or rumours about it?
This is a torque rich engine so yes it will suit the tuareg and aprilia will launch this with tuono version too. Within the next 3-4 years we might be get the both in the market same as the 660 lineup.

Is the fact that there isn't a heel plate uncomfortable? Could an aftermarket plate be installed?
You'll forget about that in a week or two of riding.

@@abdurrahmanmohammed6223 yes it is much faster, but no way is it a worty upgrade lol. 40bhp to 45bhp, both are A2 bikes, there is no way anyone with a right mind would get another bike of the same category to replace their older bike and call it an upgrade. Imo atleast a Ninja 650, or anything above could be considered as a worthy upgrade form a R3 but no way the RS457 is a wprthy upgrade from a R3 ( new or old )

the sitting posture of both the bike is very similar- both the bikes have aggressive sitting posture, and i wanted to know about which bike had more comfort.
Yamah R3 is definitely a better sport tourer than Aprilia RS457.
