Just got one. Had to return Kawai kdp120 because it came damaged. When ordering a new one, got Yamaha s55. The built quality is superb. Kawai not so much. Was very unimpressed with the built quality. Action feels much better than Kawai as well. The sample sound, however, I prefer Kawai. With Yamaha, wish the upper keys have fuller sound. Also the range of the sample sound feels narrow and limited. Some people may like it for the clarity, but for me it lacks depth. But, for now, I think s55 works better for me. Love the design and how solid it feels when assembling it and playing it.
Can you please clarify - at 10:58, you comment that the sound is different when experienced through the speakers / through the headphones? I also liked the 3rd sound the best, but since I'm in a small apartment, I'll be using headphones. Will I have the same sound experience as what I'm hearing here? (Also - I'm assuming that because this is a "slim" model, it will be manageable for movers to get it up to my second-floor home? Thanks!)
how does the YDP compare to the Yamaha YDP 165 in terms of sound quality, action, and other key items? I mostly care about the piano sound and having an experience close to a real acoustic piano for the sound and feel.
It sounds the best for sure i played all these digital pianos at Sam ash. This one sounds the best
I love the look of that piano, more than any other Yamaha. That said, I need more sounds, drum beats, and accompaniments.
Try looking at the Yamaha DGX670🎹🎶
Nice overview guys thanks!
Totally unrelated but Patrick has the exact same voice as The Flash from Justice League. 😂
I had fun playing a new piano.
I like you.

I played both and both are good. However this one for some reason sounds the most realistic even when the volume is turned up

Is it possible to add sound files to this piano or are you stuck with the handful of presets it comes with?
