  • Arcangelo Corelli’s Concerto Grosso is a significant work in the Baroque music repertoire. His collection, “ Concerti Grossi, Op. 6,” was composed in the 1680s and published in 1714. These concertos are among the earliest and finest examples of the concerto grosso form, which features a small group of solo instruments (the concertino) contrasted with a larger ensemble (the ripieno).
One of the most famous pieces from this collection is the “Christmas Concerto” (Concerto Grosso in G minor, Op. 6, No. 8), known for its beautiful and pastoral final movement.
