- Have I got a good one for you today! This property is owned by one of my long term regular customers, and it has pretty much been like this since I started over 4 years ago. I'm reasonably confident that the owner is a single mother with 4 or 5 fully grown adult children and 2 dogs all living together, and the garden is just too difficult for her to maintain. Since I was looking for some content, I thought it would be nice to help her out and do a full yard makeover. The job will be done over numerous videos, as it is a large property. This section to us around 3 hours, with one trailer load full of rubbish and green waste, plus a dead kangaroo! This is part 1of 4.

A: I have never even seen a snake in 4 years on the job.

A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.

Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!

that's what i thought, the smell. such a shame ppl ignore their houses so much. but its more business for you.
I'm suspecting the smell was the impetus for this clean up. It's a shame the owner could not depend on the son, whatever the reason, to clean up after their own party.

We don't know why they couldn't depend on the son. Obviously these days we initially go towards "bad behavior", but it could be illness, death, or some other emergency situation. I'm not ignoring any of those possibilities, just acknowledging that it's sad any way you look at it.
I think I know why Brent up and quit. LOL
Exposing that rock wall certainly brightened the place up!

Wow. That kangaroo hadnt been there that long but all the trash was. If the son can have a party he can clean up! I am amazed at how much trash you constantly pick up. I completely get why you chose to clean up. The stone wall is great to see. Looking forward to seeing the upper garden.

Wow you and crew must have gotten some kind of feeling of satisfaction from making that gnarly patio/wall garden go from shabby to neat and tidy. The kangaroo carcass must have been an oh sh*t moment. Especially since you were standing on it before you realized what it was. LOL Great job, bucket man was loading those cans like a boss and you were a trimming mad man.

Such a beautiful transformation. I especially loved it when you peeled back the vines, or whatever they were, from the stone wall. As always it is so satisfying to watch you manhandle and aggressively cut back those overgrown bushes to show them who’s boss. Exceptional result. What probably no one can understand is why the homeowner wouldn’t let you maintain the entire yard regularly to showcase its beauty.

it looked so much better with no junk lying around and the bushes is neatly trim makes a lot nicer to admire the place...I hate unnecessary stuff around the garden especially the plants which are out of shape and dead plants left in the garden looked horrible...good on you both always entertained me with absolute perfection in cleaning and doing the garden well...

This was like the gift that kept on giving! The retaining wall is beautiful and the more you cleared it’s beauty really stood out. But you unearthed a crazy amount of treasures in the undergrowth. Including the dead kangaroo. This cleanup was well worth your time and effort. I know this busy lady appreciated having her garden back. Good job!
