This movie is based on Daya Nayak,... A Maharastra police officer who encountered around 85 gangsters in Mumbai, it's not only because of him but also otther offciers like Aftab Ahmed Khan, Pradeep Sharma, ravindra angre, Sachin Waze, and many others who even lost their life in the process, Mumbai is much safer now, back in 90s there used to 2 deaths daily commited directly by gangsters. Today its near to zero, all because of hardwork and sacrifices of out officers. Proud of them ❤

@@roy3874 RGV has shadow-directed many movies. this is one of them. while shimit amin has 20 long years of experience in LA, the entire idea/characterisation/narration is by RGV. they spent many weeks plannning this discussing at length. however the hollywood direction style cant be missed something even RGV cud not hav managed to bring had he directed it himself. however he is the brain behind many movies that his assistants directed.
Being a police officer i can say that this is the story of every cop doing his job in a fighting mod. Consequences are too harsh but once a cop is a cop forever. I faced the murder charges face the exile from the department but after all the odds made it possible to come back with new energy, believe me no job can be so thrilling so lovely and important. Love you police
The main villain is played by Prasad Purandare, son of the famous Marathi historian PadmaVibhushan Babasaheb Purandare. He has written the renowned epic on Shivaji Maharaj - Raja ShivChhatrapati.
Chemistry between sadhu and jatin is well thought out. Sadhu from the very first moment started grooming the junior, and jatin in return gave him complete loyalty, to the point that he didn't even flinch shooting imtiyaz. Conversation between these 2, how both give each other time to complete their thought before starting responding. These little things are very well executed in this movie.
An exceptional movie nd its screen play is unique!!!! Well done, although, it makes you restless, even after watching it no of times, so faar!!!!!!!! Great!!!!!!!!
Classic RGV movie- it can keep you gripped with tension even in the most calmest of scenes. Barring a couple of flop ventures, RGV can well be considered as one of the great Directors of the industry.
