Was debating whether to buy a Karcher. Found this video. Kudos to you sir. Relaxing voice without any ridiculous intro music-etc, good video angles and scenes of the karcher in action. This is basically pressure-washing porn. Great review
@@NewBritWorkshop just about...6:13...you did mention you could get away without wearing clothing. No, I don't take things out of context. Great video :)
What a superb video. Well articulated without any unnecessary intro music or excessive talking. Really informative review, very detailed content, and you showed us the product in "real world" usage. Fantastic, enjoyable to watch, and informative as well. Thank you very much.
I've just bought the Karcher "K2 Premium Full Control" (it's currently in bits in front of me). I found the review to be very helpful. Both the set up and usage information was excellent, very clear and concise. I have both a patio and a new car to clean - all I need now is some decent December weather. Thank you Peter.
Very good tutorial. Calm, measured voice, good explanation and easy to follow assembly guidance. Great tips shown throughout the piece. I bought one on the strength of the presentation and watched it again for assembly and use. Karcher should express their thanks for the promotion of what is an excellent piece of kit. Thanks again.
One of the best reviews of karcher product i have ever watched! You made me think to buy one of this small models, only one thing is missing to be perfect i think, thats how to properly turn off the pressure washer :) that's it!
A gentleman explaining tech! Your voice was very reassuring and video was well thought out. Just a suggestion. Pls mention the attachment specifications such as input tube size and any converter/attachment needed.
Very useful video, Sir. Especially the precautions and tips you present. O and yeah, very very relaxing voice. Now I really can't wait any longer my Karcher K2, I'll tell you my experience with it using your tips, Sir. Respect from Flores, Indonesia.🤝
a word of advice peter, make sure the washer is stored well in winter, a very hard frost of minus 3 or 4 will ruin the pump if it has residual water in it when put away. because of the plastic parts in it,even inside a garage if it gets down lower than that, ive lost more than one pressure washer like that, i now store it inside a cupboard in my garage with an old blanket round it. commercial machines have metal in their pumps and are not as susceptible.
Many thanks for that advice. My previous Karcher, a top of the range model in its day, died through frost damage. I took it apart thinking that I could fix it but it was badly blown. Many thanks. Peter
Wish I had seen this before I put mine together yesterday ! The instructions tell you how to get started but I couldn’t see how to use the extension pole or the circulating thingy. Might have saved my back. Anyway, will keep this. Thank you.
Absolutely living for this comment section right now. So much respect and love for this review which is rightly deserved. I’ve just bought a second hand k2 and it’s amazing!!!
Just got the karcher 2 myself. I wasn't expecting much but like you I was astounded how good it was. My patio is like new! I've not used the patio attachment yet, I didn't think it would be worth it. I thought the spray wand did such a good job but after seeing you use it and how good it was I'll definately use it next time.
Thank you for posting this. Ive just bought this model to clean my patio so hope it comes up as clean as yours. I hope my hozle lock hose fits the washer.
What an absolute pleasure it was to watch this review! It answers all the questions and queries I had in a simple and straight forward manner. Keep up the great work!!!
the dvorak played by the cello is a nice touch....move the wand slower for better cleaning...dont forget to do the bottom of the house where the concrete joins....theres green mold there
Within a few days after seeing this video I searched out and bought one of these instruments. I live in a very large home near Atlanta, GA, USA; and we "pressure cleaned" the entire house. It is every thing Peter said it was. I have no leaks. The handle did not stay up after it was installed. Also, the "Dirt Blaster" wand failed quickly. I called Karcher and they had a new one here in less than 5 days. It works like a charm. I did not tell them about the handle, because I simply forgot about it. But I am going to call them and have them ship me a new one. I am sure they will. One word of caution. I only had a 5/8", 100" hose from my spigot; on a large part of my house; after using a 50' on it where I could reach. There was a noticeable reduction in the strength of the spray when pressure washing; for whatever it's worth. But it was NOT weak enough to keep us from using it to clean our home; albeit a slower time. Next time I will buy a 3/4" , 100' hose. I am sure that will help immeasurably when it comes to pressure. Thank you Peter for demonstrating this amazing device. We love it! And you too dear person.
This is a brilliant video! I bought this model yesterday and found the instructions difficult to follow. However, with this video I have managed to set the pressure washer up and tomorrow I'll begin using it. A well planned video which explains everything clearly. Thank you.
Fantastic assembly instructions - simple when you know how but the guide which came with the machine were very lacking. A huge thank you! Ready to get going now 😊
Fantastic review.. needed help assembling my k2 as can no longer go to car wash due to the virus which has broken out world wide.. your a natural.. STAY SAFE everyone👍🏽
Brilliant video, thanks so much. I understand the instructions aren't that clear too, so your demonstration of how it fits together is particularly helpful! Agree with other comments too that it's nice for a video to not have a big fanfair of an introduction. All the best!
I've actually borrowed a Karcher K2 from a friend to clean my patio and paths (45+ sq metres in total) and I must say I'm quite impressed. I'd seen various reviews on Amazon, some of them not good, but it seems to do the job nicely for me. Borrowing one has certainly got me thinking of buying my own. About 10 years ago I did buy a smaller Karcher model. But not knowing anything much about pressure washers I was sure it would be ok. Sadly though I found it very lacking in power as the jet of water was thinner than a pencil. It would have taken 10 minutes to clean one paving slab. The K2 is MUCH better, having the power you'd expect to tackle garden dirt and grime.
Just bought one of these on offer from Homebase and can't wait to start using it after wathing this very informative video. Thanks for covering everything I was wondering about!
Very well explained, calm voice, truthful revue, I'm going to get one from Screwfix tomorrow, the going price is now £109.99, but I do have a £5.00 voucher, thank you for your great video
love the pet blackbird, pity they do not migrate over here, although I did hear some in WA when visiting, wonderful songbird. Oh, the Karcher, well, concur with all the positive responses, will investigate the K2 tomorrow.
Just on a side note, you mention a price of over £100 by a professional. Notice the little dark dots that were left behind on your flags, the professionals would have got them off, but that being really picky. Also, some chemicals (not necessarily what you used) act as an anti fungal and mean the area will last longer before the next clean. However I agree with you, on normal garden patios easy of time and money, but to use on the car as a "snow foam" should be uses every time to remove contaminants before using the cleaning mit to prevent the hair line scratches on paint work.
Got one yesterday not a streak in sight slabs look fresh off the production line ... ***NOTE*** i seen people saying they smelt a funny burning smell after a short period of using it. I experienced it but soon realised its because the machines not getting enough water and it revs alot louder then usual n after a while will start to burn . just let go of the gun for a few seconds let the water build up n it should go back to normal revs . or just give it more water through the hose ... Either way don't let it scream louder then it should or it will burn out
Good advice - before turning the machine on it is essential to have the water turned on and connected and also to pull the trigger to get water flowing through the motor unit. Cheers. Peter
Brilliant review Excellent, that you realised your test results would be invalid as you didn't leave the detergent on for long enough - you must be an engineer? Anyway, thanks a lot -others who leave product reviews should use this as the standard :-)
Bought this last week can't wait to use it I didn't look at the reviews before buying it because I believe karcher is the best pressure washer great video explaining all the parts to get amazing results.
I've just bought one and wanted to see a tutorial before using it. Nice to have a well spoken tutor, whose enthusiasm for the product is clear. I'm now sufficiently confident, so off I go......
My Black & Decker washer gave up on me and their service center seems to be permanently closed (no reply whatsoever). So, I'm thinking of getting one of this. Even though this is 3 years old, it is very informative and honest experience. I thank you sir.
amazing video!! my work recently bought the K4 full control system which comes with the patio cleaner too. i used the kit on my work van, and its really good. there is a circular brush attachment that rotates a few degress and is used alongside the vehicle shampoo. i strongly advise you to have a look around and pick one up as your 7/10 for the car clean, will definitely shoot up to a 10. i decided, like you, to do half the work with the shampoo, and half without. i didnt notice a difference in the cleanliness of my van. i think a lot of people like peace of mind and feel they are getting a "better" clean by using some form of solution or chemical shampoo when cleaning stuff. i also think karcher know that people will buy the shampoos despite the little effect they actually have. I do not own a karcher washer personally, and will be getting my newer car a little later in the year so will treat myself to a washer then! excellent video, here is the link to karchers website for the vehicle cleaning attachment :) www.kaercher.com/uk/accessory/wb100-rotating-wash-brush-26432360.html
You are quite right. I must confess that I thought that it would only last a couple of seasons but it is still going strong and it gets used by two families. Cheers. Peter
I do find patio cleaning weirdly theraputic. The first time I did one was about 15 years old and I helped my dad. I couldn't believe the drive way was actually that colour once we finished! Haha!
That was with a Karcher too. Fantastic tools. In fact that's why I'm on this video. I'm looking to get a K2 now I'm living in Australia, so wanted to see some reviews :)
Thank you so much for sharing this superb video. As someone said, you have a natural presentation style. Well edited too! I also appreciate your honesty.....quite a rare attribute these days! I have a 10-15yr old JCB but I can't buy a 'rotating nozzle patio cleaning head' to fit as every manufacturer, stupidly, has not standardised. I've just ordered an adaptor which might just work (if I'm lucky) and now that I've seen your video I'm even more desperate to obtain one of these rotary cleaning heads. If that fails I'm encouraged that the model you demonstrated will be adequate for my needs which helps to clear the fog of Karcher model proliferation. NoAxe
thank you for an excellent and honest review. I was about to buy the K4 kit as I'd read you need that kind of power for patio cleaning, so you saved me over £100!! Many thanks.
My God how nice to have a good clean comprehensive video on a product. With language that's music to my ears and an intelligent person ( protect your eyes, yes! ). Just a professional non- commercial video that correctly depicts all uses of the product. Bravo!
I truly would like to thank you for making this video. My machine is almost identical and I was struggling with the pressure hose not clicking. After watching your well detail assembly I noticed my mistake just in time before turning the machine on for the first time. Great video.
exactly what I was looking for, there are so many different models though, hard to decide, they do a k2 compact but not sure that is any good. thanks though very helpful
Hi Matt, Just check what accessories are thrown in - that round patio gadget is brilliant. I did a huge patio a couple of weeks ago and it took very little time. Cheers. Peter
excellent work. I am in Japan and there are dozens of these pressure washer systems here (all made in China alas) and your review is very helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time and energy to produce a straight forward explanation and demonstration. Well done!
@@NewBritWorkshop Well Sir, the product did exactly as you showed, and with my very clean driveway and deck my wife was even complimentary about the purchase! I was also able to use the word detritus in conversation. Many accomplishments large and small.
Really good video, thank you. I looked at a K2 a couple of years ago, but found for half the price, I could buy a Halfords own brand which was even more powerful. They both have plastic pumps anyway, so just as bad as each other. My halfords one was fine after 18 months so I gave it away and it still works fine, and bought a K4. The K4 is leagues ahead, much more power, a metal pump, and 3 year guarantee, for only £40 more.
Just bought this. The handbook is useless . This is one of the best reviews of anything I have seen on UA-cam. I cannot thank you enough for your excellent review.
A great review. Straightforward, no nonsense straight to the point. Extremely useful and reassuring. I've just bought this piece of kit and have only just assembled it- to honest I'm not impressed by the flimsy plastic- particularly that patio "Dalek" attachment. Having watched you in action it certainly looks like it will be more useful than I first thought. Glad to have seen your review of the patio solution. I've just saved myself a smalll fortune! Thanks again for such an excellent tutorial/practical review. My project begins tomorrow...
I had the original Karcher which I purchased around 20 years ago and only last year replaced it with the K4. I have tried other makes but personally I swear by Karcher for pressure washers around the home. I am sure that the more industrial types are superior but at the price I would not invest when the Karcher does the job that I need. Thank you Peter for showing your experience and I agree the detergent is not worth the extra it costs.
There was lots of "Clicking", which we enjoyed. As each new section connected, we waited for "The Click" each time and you didn't disappoint. Great review and honestly, myself, my wife and the children gave you a round of applause. Great review...I'd like to think if there was not a lockdown, we would have still given you a round of applause, however, we'll never know. We're off to play at being "Pressure Washer Pete" with our spankingly new K2. Thank you
This is what I look for when it comes to reviews: real product, real conditions and a someone who uses the product as I want to use it. Thank you!

Very helpful thank you. The user instructions are as clear as mud, so this is very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
thank you for an excellent and honest review. I was about to buy the K4 kit as I'd read you need that kind of power for patio cleaning, so you saved me over £100!! Many thanks.
Hi John, Brilliant. Peter
Excellent. Clear instructions and demonstrations. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
nice review and showing how to assemble very efficiently which is a skill most don't have
Glad it was helpful!
My God how nice to have a good clean comprehensive video on a product. With language that's music to my ears and an intelligent person ( protect your eyes, yes! ). Just a professional non- commercial video that correctly depicts all uses of the product. Bravo!
I HAVE to say this was a very professional video and it swung my decision to by karcher instead of the Bosch
I truly would like to thank you for making this video. My machine is almost identical and I was struggling with the pressure hose not clicking. After watching your well detail assembly I noticed my mistake just in time before turning the machine on for the first time. Great video.
Many thanks for the feedback. Peter
exactly what I was looking for, there are so many different models though, hard to decide, they do a k2 compact but not sure that is any good. thanks though very helpful
Hi Matt, Just check what accessories are thrown in - that round patio gadget is brilliant. I did a huge patio a couple of weeks ago and it took very little time. Cheers. Peter
Thats is proper English language 👍
Thanks for a comprehensive and honest review. Excellent!
Hi Owen, Many thanks for your kind feedback. Peter
excellent work. I am in Japan and there are dozens of these pressure washer systems here (all made in China alas) and your review is very helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time and energy to produce a straight forward explanation and demonstration. Well done!
Thank you so much. ありがとうございました Peter
@@NewBritWorkshop Well Sir, the product did exactly as you showed, and with my very clean driveway and deck my wife was even complimentary about the purchase! I was also able to use the word detritus in conversation. Many accomplishments large and small.
@@shizuokaBLUES Excellent, great humour - many thanks. Peter
Thanks for sharing
Just bought this. The handbook is useless . This is one of the best reviews of anything I have seen on UA-cam. I cannot thank you enough for your excellent review.
Hi Eddie, You are very kind - many thanks. Peter
Hi Moutton, Many thanks for this. Peter
Thank you
I love this - many thanks. Take care. Peter
Ditritus. New word of the day for me
absolutely great review. Just bought an used one from Offerup for a great deal.
Great to hear! Cheers. Peter
The cleaning solution is just money making.
