They aren't trying to sound like the "Studio Version", never have and would be quiet the bore if they did. No two Stones shows are exactly alike. The setlist may be the same here and there, but the licks Keef and Ronnie play are never played exactly the same way each time. Its music for the moment, live, quiet a lot of improvsation going on, not Grateful Dead improv where they don't even have a setlist, but still very much flying by the seat of your pants.

The greatest rock and roll band there is, ever was, and ever will be. No group will ever match the career longevity these guys have had, create the legends they have, match the influence they’ve had, or produce as many incredible songs and albums as they have. I was at this show, I’ve seen them six times since 1989, and they amazed me the other night. People who think they’re too old to be on stage haven’t seen them play. I guarantee nobody who saw this show is saying that!

Well, I am obviously only one who feels this way, but I have watched several videos of the first two tour dates and it looks like Keith and Ronnie are just going through the motions. They've done this too many times to get excited about it any more. Yes, Keef kicks out a few good licks on Gimme Shelter, but watch them at 4:30. They're bored and tired.

@@metallion0738 Well, you should hear that. I don't. But it happens with more songs, also in the past. Ronnie's tribute to the band has been minimal after his first tour with the Stones from 1975 till 1977. He became a junkie and an alcoholic afterwards and sometimes couldn't play at all. Mick wanted to throw him out several times, and wouldn't want him to play in different tours, but Keith all prevented that.

Is the haircut he's got that makes him look much older than what he is, plus the cancer he had few years back too.

I know this is sacrilege to devoted fans, but these folks sound pretty weary to me. They're still spry for their ages, but let's face it, the edge has dulled. Mick and the boys soldier on, approaching Charlie's 8 decades and still a big draw/revenue producer, yet there's not much shock left. Other than the bright and catchy outfits, there's nothing new to see. Along with Dylan and BB King and Gordon Lightfoot, it's neat to see them still working as aged musical greats and their songs will always be wonderful. Still, I'm sorry to say, time waits for no one, not even the Rolling Stones...

I agree 100%. See my previous comment about Ronnie and Keith. They should follow Bill's example and retire before they embarrass themselves and their fans.

Of course they have. They’re all pushing 80 . Thing is , we don’t care! Better old Stones than no Stones! The crowd sure seems to enjoy the show....

@@gkny4045 I get it. It's kind of like the song from the White Christmas movie, "What can you do with a general" (who retires). If Mick and the fellas stop performing, what are they gonna do? Plus, how do you walk away from such adulation and bank? It could be folks would turn out even if they were in wheelchairs, the music is just that good...Still, if they hung it up and focused on family and friends a bit more they might find something of even greater value than cheering fans...

@@mykobo1560 . Bill Wyman retired almost 30 years ago, to soon in my opinion, he should have quit when he turned 70 at least for a Stone, Mick Taylor left the band even sooner and left almost broke for being a Stone.

Or Keith, the thing is that if Keith goes firt Mick can still perform as a solo artist, but without Keith there is no Rolling Stones.
